Booker Wholesale in India is a subsidiary of the Booker Group, operating under the Cash and Carry model, offering branded and private label goods which are sold to customers including Kirana Shops, Provision stores, Foods Stalls, Restaurants and Hotels. As Sales Manager, I had been assigned Surat (Gujarat) as a territory to grow, expand and ensure profitable sales for the existing store.

Increased Booker presence in the primary catchment areas of the store by visiting customers and showcasing Booker model. Connected with over 600 mix of Retailers, Wholesalers/Semi and other Personal Business Users (PBUs).

Facilitated new customer registrations with the objective of driving footfalls to the store. Clocked a conversion rate of 50 percent.

Achieved a 25 percent increase in registered customer base.

Activated dead accounts with a success rate of 20 percent.

As Sales Head, my primary responsibility included design, planning and implementation of sales strategies to meet annual sales target at Pan India scale. I was also in charge of key strategic alliances, systems and process orientation and receivables management.

Set up Corbis images entry into Indian market by partnering as India representatives in 2006-2007 and established sales and delivery mechanisms to ensure deep penetration into the North India commercial market.

Demonstrated an increase of 26% over the target of USD 500,000 in the first year of operations.

Promoted as Regional Head and then migrated to the city of Mumbai to lead and expand operations in Western region.
