Res-Q Website Monterey Bay Hackathon 2019 November 2019

Won First place in the Monterey Bay Hackathon 2019

Built an app with ReactJS, Firebase, and Map Box API to display a map of resources available for shelter, food, medical services and other benefits for affected people displaced from natural disasters.

Users will be able to login with Google and Social media accounts with software-based Authenticator in Firebase database. Aiming for making map interactive with users and scalable like Zillow.

Capstone Project Graduation Project August 2019 – Present

Designed a practical program: Anti-Phishing Campaign for California Insurance Group Company. The project is processing with two software engineers and CIO of CIG.

Building a website functions used with Kali-Linux, Droplet cloud-server, and Go-Phish API to train and evaluate CIG employees by creating and sending online phishing emails and templates.

Comparing our own application with KnowBe4 product to replace it for lower budget and stronger security. It is able to track users’ activities: if employees click email or open the attached file in email, it records on dashboard on the website and reports to administrator

Lie-detector Chrome Extension Monterey Bay Hackathon 2018 November 2018

Won First place in the Monterey Bay Hackathon 2018

Built a Chrome extension to inform users about the reliability and credibility of news articles by displaying a figure graph. JavaScript, Jquery, Node, Express and Google API were used for design and functions.

Analyzed all the links and sources of any webpage, and compared them to Open-Sources, a professionally curated list of online sources. Fake or advertising news showed 20% of reliability on a graph but Science or documentary news showed 80 to 100% of reliability on a graph.
