Designed a PID controller using root locus method to enhance stability of the vehicle. Development and Analysis of a 7 degree of freedom vehicle model in MATLAB/Simulink

A full vehicle model with 7 DOF (Lateral motion, longitudinal motion, yaw motion, and individual rotation of wheels) that can accommodate steering and braking action is modeled.

The developed vehicle model using non-linear Dugoff tire model is validated for various operating conditions. Analysis of normal forces and yaw angle is performed for - acceleration, deceleration, left turn and right turn conditions.
