Interviews persons of interest to establish the case history.

Records and establishes the description and timeline of onset of symptoms and interviews case to determine all possibly exposed individuals.

Obtains contact information for each of those individuals and enters into CRM.

Explains information and recommendations regarding isolation and quarantine parameters, services available to case, and monitors case for ongoing needs and disease clearance.

Helps case develop an appropriate plan which may include referral to another agency or professional.

Explains symptoms, monitoring and proper isolation for positive cases.

Veteran Upward Bound

Student Success Coach August 2019- Present

Oversee over 40 veterans in which two-thirds are hard to serve population, low-income as well as first generation, and determine eligibility for the TRIO educational program based on grant guidelines.

Link veterans to resources that are available locally in the Miami-Dade and Broward area or nationally for at least 75% of the 40 veterans.

Assist in recruiting students to participate in the program by attending events and presenting to community partners.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners to make smooth transitions when referring veterans.

Work with other success coaches and administrators to promote program during events and meetings.

Second Lieutenant October 2018- Present

Serve as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army at the 429th MMB in Savannah, Georgia. My MOS, job title, is a Health Communications Specialists (70D).

Coach, observe and direct 15 enlisted soldiers within my section on their respective duties, career goals and continued education.

Conduct monthly counseling with my soldiers to assess their progress, ensure they are physically meeting standards which all 15 now meet.

Devise plans, courses of actions and help to ensure their physical and mental well-being by linking soldiers to available army resources.

Support key personnel in systems management in key communication devices for our unit, the 429th.

Trained with a COSC(mental health unit), learning additional psychometric test and techniques to deal with traumatic events as well as stress control.

Oversee any cadets in the levels below me in conjunction with our ROTC office to search for any scholarships and awards cadets could receive.

Additionally, this position required organization and excellent attention to detail as missing one symptom can change a diagnosis.

Gained valuable techniques for coaching such as a technique called motivational interviewing.

Public Health Research Assistant January 2018- September 2018

Conducted home visits to 20 patients houses who are veterans to collect air quality samples to quantify their air quality in hopes to help dry eye symptoms following proper IRB protocol.

Exposed to working with cell line cultures, staining, and creation of questionnaire surveys.

Conducted in field data collection in a pediatric clinic to try and establish a correlation between pediatric asthma and their environment, was able to get data for 67 patients in only two months.
