To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Andrea Russo and I am writing to express my interest in applying for the advertised position as a Personal Assistant. The opportunity presented in this listing is what I am looking for. Although I come from a different field, I am confident that the skills I have acquired have prepared me for the challenges of assisting in the daily management of personal and executive-level responsibilities.

I have had a rewarding experience as an Audiologist the past few years, however working in the field has come with its challenges of late. The number of jobs has lessened due to consolidation and the changing nature of the way care is given in the field. I have been contemplating a change for some time, as I have not enjoyed managing the financial insecurity that permeates the field, and the recent changes due to COVID-19 have accelerated my thinking around the idea of making a career shift. When I considered the skills listed in your post, I realized that although it may seem like a surprising career choice, in fact it may be more natural of a shift than expected.

My training and career have augmented the attention to detail that is characteristic of my personality and I believe will make me successful in ensuring that no task, appointment, or project no matter how big or small, slips through the cracks. I have great organizational skills, work well independently and with others and have a strong work ethic. I also have excellent written and communication skills and I am very comfortable using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.

I enjoy helping others with day-to-day tasks and using my organizational skills to facilitate a smooth schedule. I am comfortable with managing calendars, running errands and overseeing property. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and further discuss this opportunity. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Andrea Russo
