PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a young career humanitarian aid worker with more than 4 years’ experience working in Northeast Nigeria in roles of volunteer and program/support staff. I have direct program technical experience, particularly in Health but my career has largely been vast in different areas. More so, I have been involved with community mobilization, Logistic/Administrative support, psychosocial activities, Health Promotion, Monitoring and Evaluation, capacity Building, Planning and Implementing Community Based Projects. I firmly believe in participatory approach and community involvement as a way of achieving strategic objectives for developmental organizations aiding conflict and natural disaster affected populations. I have worked in maiduhuri and Yobe states in Northeast Nigeria implementing Health and Nutrition projects in communities. WORKING EXPERIENCE
COMMUNITY NUTRITION MOBILIZATION SUPERVISOR (I.H.A PROJECT) SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL NIGERIA.

Responsibilities;
providing support to the field Assistants/ community nutrition workers in the Project s Communities in implementing the nutrition interventions (Community Management of Malnutrition [CMAM] and Infant and Young Child Feeding [IYCF]) while integrating with other sectoral interventions.
Working with other agencies providing nutrition services in ensuring linkage of nutrition beneficiaries.
Working towards ensuring quality delivery of nutrition interventions in the Project locations.
Ensuring quality of nutrition screening for children under-5 conducted by Community Nutrition Mobilizers in target Communities.
Provision of Outreach OTP Services in target communities together with the outreach team.
Supervise regular follow up and management of malnutrition cases at the OTP/SC
Ensuring quality of IYCF counseling sessions provided individual level and group sessions
With support from the Nutrition Officer, ensuring quality cooking food demonstration sessions are conducted in Project supported Communities.
Ensure that community nutrition interventions (MUAC screening and Referral, IYCF (MSGs, food demonstrations) and hygiene promotion are integrated
Building capacity of CNMs/ field Assistants and Mother Leaders by providing on-the-job training on CMAM and IYCF
Supporting Project level nutrition assessment/surveys as approved by Donor.
Supporting quality data collection of activities conducted in the Communities.
Daily reporting of nutrition activity.
facilitating community mobilization/sensitization campaigns in collaboration with Community Nutrition Mobilizers and field Assistants
Orienting community nutrition Mobilizers and field assistants on community mobilization component of CMAM.
Ensuring community nutrition Mobilizers/ field assistants clearly understand admission criteria to the CMAM programme
Through liaison with CNMs and nutrition officer, ensuring home follow up of all absentees, defaulters, deaths and children at risk is carried out by to the community nutrition mobilizers/ field assistants and post visit feedback is given to the OTP health workers.
Supervising the activities of community nutrition mobilizers/ field assistants in all locations allocated to ensure quality implementation of activities and ensure communities are sensitized to the programme as quickly as possible.
Plan and organizing weekly and monthly activities in the areas of supervision
Supporting formation of new Mother Support Groups and organize meetings for already existing Mother Support Group meetings to strengthen them and ensure that IYCF messages are communicated regularly.
Maintaining open line of communication with the beneficiaries to obtain feedback, complaints and work with the team to maintain a log of the feedback/ complaints and come up with corrective actions. And other activities that may be assigned by Nutrition officer/assistant.
