QA/QC Manager MEP - CCC, BACS Riyadh Metro Project (Bechtel, Almabani, CCC and Siemens Consortium) Riyadh - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Contractor - EPC (Hired to work on design and build of Lines 1 and 2 of the Riyadh metro network. These two lines will form part of the six-line metro system that will run for a total length of 176 kilometers across the city and includes 85 stations).

Key Responsibilities:

PROJECT SCOPE of work on Lines 1 and 2 encompasses detailed structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, BMS, SCADA and transit system design together with construction, procurement of all products and materials, integration, testing and commissioning works and all the necessary support for project delivery. Line 1 stretch from north to south through the centre of Riyadh, along the Olaya-Batha corridor, covering 38 kilometers. The line will include 22 stations and 4 transfer stations where it will connect with other new metro lines. Much of Line 1 will be underground. Line 2 runs east to west along King Abdullah Road and will be built mostly at grade (15km) with some elevated sections. This line will run east to west and will extend more than 25 kilometers with 13 stations and 3 transfer stations.

Submit reports to the Project Controls Manager, on the performance of the self-executed and subcontractors under their remit for inclusion in the monthly report.

Manage, coordinate and supervise QC Engineers / Inspectors on the project.

Initiate, review, approve and maintain, as applicable, quality control procedures, inspection testing procedures and plans.

Supervise the first line inspection and test of constructed assets in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans.

Plan and coordinate with the QC Engineering team on a daily basis to allow for advance planning of the necessary inspections and testing for project activities in their particular section.

Monitor closely the ongoing work activities under their control and make sure that works are completed in accordance with the approved shop drawings and specification

Undertake independent inspections and tests to sample the works and the materials being brought to site and BACS store to verify compliance with the obligations of the contract.

Act as liaison between the Employer, Field Engineering team, Subcontractors QC team and the QC team for the establishing and coordination of inspection activities.

Manage all quality control staff and activities validating work is completed in accordance with project specifications, to the required quality standards and within prescribed timeframes including the allocation and mobilization of resources and the monitoring of use.

Attend meetings with Employer, Construction Team, Subcontractors as the Contractor representative on matters relating to quality control.

Perform inspections and audits of completed records & works and to confirm that they are complete.

Report Non Conformances identified (NCRs and CRs) within their section of the works as per the project Control of Non-Conforming items procedure.

Attend factory acceptance tests with owner representative and provide comments, recommendations and sign approvals.

Identify, and implement, areas of preventive action that will improve quality control on the project.

Prepare Inspection and Test Plans for work activities and review subcontractors ones in MEP field as per the project Field Inspection and Testing Procedure.

Share "lessons learned" with relevant persons on the project team.

The Job

Purpose of the Job

Crossrail will deliver a railway that is fully integrated, tested and commissioned at opening. This requires the infrastructure, rail systems, rolling stock, operational procedures and railway staff to deliver a railway that is operable, maintainable and safe, meeting all the performance criteria and other requirements set by the Sponsors. A substantial part of the infrastructure that underpins this success is being installed and commissioning by the C610 Systemwide Mainworks contract.

The C610 Test and Commissioning Manager (C610 T&CM) will be the prime focal point for all T&C activity between C610 and the many other parties that interface with C610, from a design, planning, safety, construction, T&C and assurance perspective. This critical, senior leadership role will be responsible for holding the C610 Main Contractor to account and ensuring that our strategic and detailed T&C plans, and corresponding reports/metrics, are in place, are robust and evolve as required over time.

Principal Accountabilities

Accountable for providing technical expertise and know-how to all parties, anticipating potential issues ahead of time, providing trouble-shooting knowledge in the field.

Review and input to major safety critical areas, eg energisation protocols, managing works adjacent to live HV through stations and in the trace, LOTO, etc.

Input to the workstreams reviewing transition of temporary to permanent services, to ensure robust processes in place for E&B, stray currents etc.

Review planned T&C resource levels (and type) against level 4 & 5 plans, and CommLot skylines - and then verify competence once in the field.

Spend time on site to witness key testing hold points, and support teams with any major diagnostic fault finding challenges, injecting precious experience.
