Resume:

My name is Kenneth Benjamin Krogstad. I’m ** years old and interested in applying for Operations position.

I have a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Economics from LSU, Associate degree in Business Technology from BRCC and Associate degree in Process Technology from RPCC. I have completed the DOW Chemical Co. Apprenticeship program in Operations through The Department of Labor. There was a 2.5 year gap of unemployment from 2014-2017.

In late 2014 I took a leave of absence because my parents became terminally ill and needed assistance with the doctor visits and certain surgeries. My father was diagnosed with liver cancer and my mother later had a stroke. During this time, I oversaw their medical needs, finances, and porting all the health-life-critical and disability insurance from group to individual. I also set-up their retirement from Teachers Retirement of Louisiana and Social Security. In 2015, my father passed in April and my mother passed in September of the same year. I was named Executor of both estates; it was my duty to file insurance claims and pay-off debts such as their vehicle and all medical bills. I oversaw the dividing of assets among my siblings. I was also in charge of repairing and selling their house, which I accomplished by 2016.

My reasoning for explanation is so mangers understand the gap of unemployment. My work experience does not say a lot about me, but my life experience far proceeds it. I understand pressure and stressful situations, but I use that to my advantage to achieve my goals. I would like the opportunity to meet the hiring manager.
