Sales Consultant Bench Craft Company - Omaha, NE 10/2018 - 05/2019 Bench Craft Company was founded in 1982 and since then has serviced hundreds of golf courses throughout the United States. What the company does is supplies these golf courses with scorecards, course guides, tee signs and display boards free of charge. Due to the fact that the course does not have to deal with that financial burden, Bench Craft reserves the right to sell that advertisement space to local businesses in the area. This is where the sales consultants come in. Our duties and responsibilities are, but are not limited to, the following:

Cold calling approximately 200 local businesses in the area surrounding the golf course daily

Explaining the opportunity and the benefits of golf course advertising to the head of the business or the marketing professional

Closing the sale, acquiring payment information and following the necessary procedures to get the business signed on at the golf course in one phone call Maintaining sufficient sales output, weekly, in a high pressure sales environment Seeing to it that customer satisfaction be met after the sale has been made Mastering the art of not portraying another "annoying telemarketer" over the phone but rather a relatable stranger with a fantastic opportunity that helps support the business as well as the local course

Ranch Hand Huyser Family Dairy - Sully, IA 06/2018 - 10/2018 The Huyser Dairy Farm, formally known as the DaMin Dairy, is a family run dairy farm located in the small town of Sully, Iowa. I wanted to truly test my work ethic and experience country life for all that it has to offer in June of 2018. So I took to craigslist and responded to an ad that read "Short term ranch hand needed." I got into contact with the family and two days later I traveled to Sully, Iowa to meet with them and discuss the position. Once I was given the position I quickly compiled my belongings and relocated to a small house across from the 800 acre dairy farm in Sully. The cows need to be milked twice a day and I was assigned the 2:00 A.M. shift which certainly took some sleep adjustments but it gave me most of my days free. In addition to that shift, because I lived in the house across the street, I was the alternate worker for when they needed other tasks completed. It was an incredible experience which further instilled in me many of the virtues that the small town, dairy farming family lived their lives by. Those being:

Tenacious work ethic of which I have not seen in any other line of work I have experienced

The importance of attention to detail and attentiveness when learning new tasks as well as following orders

Working smoothly with your peers in order to flawlessly and safely execute the objective at hand

Always be doing something productive. This dairy farm is the lifeblood of the family and there is hardly enough time in the day to get all tasks accomplished. There is always something to be done

My responsibilities and duties on the farm were, but were not limited to, the following: Arrive, punctually, at 2:00 A.M to turn on the system and prepare the equipment Seclude, separate and transport the first of four groups of the two hundred and fifty head of cattle from the barn to the milking parlor and commence milking Return the first group of cattle to their respective barn and repeat these steps until all of the cows have been milked

Clean the milking parlor and begin my daily chores for the morning Which included: feeding the calves, birthing calves, transporting hay bails with a skid loader, mucking and cleaning the barns, herding cattle and transporting the cattle when necessary and any miscellaneous jobs and chores that needed to be handled

Whatever the product at hand may be.
