Upgraded Freeport McMoRan stands 13 & 14 drive replacement for the Rod Mill and negotiated a contract of $63k under budget with ABB/GE. Promoted from Senior Buyer for the Norwich Rod Mill to Sr Contract Administrator for both the Bayway, NJ & Norwich, CT sites. Managed 175+ contracts for the CT & NJ site locations (invoicing, AP/AR, etc) PM Lead for introducing lean manufacturing processes into the Rod Mill facility. Led a team with Forester (major supplier) to develop in-line holding tool; which was instrumental in improving the process and quality of the copper rod. Upgraded Schloemann Press Ram installation and saved the company $150k by sourcing major steel shafts from China.
Saved Bayway & Norwich $1M+ in annual cost savings through competitive bidding and dual sourcing for major projects.
Developed monthly reports and sourcing activities for corporate. Competitively bid the accumulator safety shut off valve upgrade, which reduced maintenance costs, minimized process time, increased production, and eliminated safety issues associated with the operation of the Bayway press.
