DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Worked with confident and independently on all rotating and static equipment including Commissioning, precommissioning overhauling and preventive as well as breakdown maintenance of the same.
Carries out routine maintenance on rotating equipment, carries out visual checks of seals for leaks, disassembles equipment, replaces parts as directed, cleans equipment, replaces packing and gaskets, repairs as appropriate, checks bearings and reassembles. Ensures correct alignment and tolerances, using precision measurement instruments, such as laser alignment equipment, DTI clock gauges, micrometers, gauges and verniers.
Carries out routine preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules, check lists and specific equipment requirements. This includes changing oils, greasing, cleaning strainers and filters and general overhaul of equipment. Repairs and or replaces defective parts, reassembles overhauled equipment and carries out necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start-up
Assists in planning annual shutdown and major equipment turnarounds and carries out complete overhaul rotating equipment. Reassembles and tests equipment in accordance with requirements or tests schedules.
Obtains work permits from area authority, review and work assigned and arranges for the tools, materials and equipment to complete the task.
Allocates work to the assigned technicians, participate in work, supervise and coordinate repairs, equipment replacements.
Carries out assigned routine and preventive maintenance, including replacing damaged parts and carries out test runs as necessary.
Carries out major overhaul of equipment, check clearances precisely and determine the usage or replacement of equipment.
Issues comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the cause of the fault, the nature of work, the materials, labor and the time taken to complete the task.
Ensures all tools and test equipment are kept clean and serviceable.
Proper reporting and timely completion of all duties according to applicable safety measures and published procedure
Routine checking of all plant rotary and static equipment like pumps, compressor and vessels.
Doing field mechanical jobs as per instruction of higher authority.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs
Keep all work permit like Hot and Cold work permit doing the job for safe work.
Involved job in field equipment maintenance and maintain good housekeeping.
COMMISSIONING JOB UNDERGONE
Pre-commissioning and commissioning of all rotating and non-rotating equipment, vessels and topsides.
Generate punch list, inspection of all pipelines and equipment’s based on P & ID.
Punch list making, punch 1, punch 2, punch 3
Bolt Torqueing and Tensioning Jobs.
Spare planning, preparing equipment history and updating
Inspection of newly procured spares
Condition monitoring of running equipment, Data recording during critical equipment overhauling and maintaining vibration trend reports for critical equipment.
Plant modification jobs, Contractor follow-up jobs etc.,
Line flushing, chemical cleaning, blowing, line busting, borescope inspection.
Conduct pre- flushing and flushing of pipe work to the system prior to commissioning of equipment.
Maintain records and prepare reports on operation of equipment and system, take and log readings from equipment during test run.
Check and verify alignment of all rotating equipment before start up commencement and final acceptance.
Final commissioning and completion of all equipment prior to turn over.
MAJOR JOB HANDLED
COMPRESSOR
Make: MITSUBISHI, NUOVO PIGNONE, INGERSOLL RAND, KIRLOSKAR, WILLIAM JAMES, KG KHOSHLA, CPT, ATLASCOPCO, HYDUCK, AND CLERK
Dismantling and inspection of main bearing, big end bearing, small end bearing, cross head, thrust washer, oil pump gear clearance inspection as per OEM instructions.
Cylinder side clearance, cylinder ovality inspection and piston pumping clearance, TDC, BDC inspection, suction and delivery valve, opening clearance inspection.
All these clearances inspected through the inside outside micrometer, dial gauge micrometer, bore gauge micrometer, filler gauge and lead wire.
High-pressure cut-off switch, high temperature cut-off switch, oil pressure cut-off switch, water flow switch, and timer setting.
PUMPS
Make: ENSIVAL MORET, LAWA, METSO, KSB, GUIYARD, PACIFIC HIRO, WILSON-SNYDER, AFTON, AND NIPPON & KIRLOSKAR
Dismantling and reassembling of all centrifugal and reciprocating pumps i.e. single and multi-stage, vertical and horizontal, split and also barrel type.
Involved in repair such as plunger changing, diaphragm changing activities such as mechanical seal assembling and aligning the pump with prime mover by Reverse and Graphical method, Rim and Face method.
Also have knowledge in ENSCO-53 RIG mud pump and did overhauling of EBRA PUMP (TOKYO JAPAN) Capacity of 20477 m3/H with the speed of 740 per minute.
TURBINES (GAS)
Make: GE (FRAME 6 & 9) AND NOVO PIGNONE (FRAME 5)
Carried out preventive maintenance on their accessories and combustion chambers, gas fuel valves, air start motors, injectors, pre/post lube pump, changing air and diesel fuel filters, maintaining log book and change over unite be feeding password in case of an emergency during the operation.
Overhauling of turbine
Replacement of combustion can, liner, crossfire tube, flow sleeve, transition piece
Had done alignment between turbine and generator
Replacement of nozzle and shrouds
Bolting and unbolting turbine and compressor casing
Had done coupling turbine and generator shaft using river hawk

MECHANICAL SEALS
Worked on all types of seals including single, double and tandem seals, single spring and multi-spring, Bellow type and proper rectification of the same.
GEAR BOXES
Involved in preventive maintenance and bearing changing inspection of gas and bearing and check the back-lash clearance activities.
ENGINE
Worked on complete overhaul and troubleshooting of gas and diesel engine and testing for the same ideal and load conditions. Changing cylinder head per lube pump check valve lash, etc.
Maintained the required clearances on their major parts such as connecting, bearings, piston pins, etc.
FIN FANS AND BLOWER
Make: HUDSON, NUOVA PIGNONE
Replacement of blades.
Measure and adjust blade angle, tip clearance.
Adjust belt tension.
VALVES
Overhauled all types of valves like safety and relief valves, Pressure and vacuum valves, Compressor valves etc. and hydro testing of the same at the required set pressure. Also worked on ball valves, Gate valves and check valves, Pressure safety valves.
SEPARATOR
Having experience in 2 phases and 3 phases (horizontal, vertical, Sphere) separator maintenance to change mist pad, vertex breaker, coalescing plates, deflected etc. Involved in startup shutdown and commissioning procedure all type of separators.
HEAT EXCHANGERS:
Having experience in plate type, shell and tube (single and multi-tubes) exchanger. Involved in maintenance and repair of tubes, nozzle baffle plates, spool piece etc. Also worked on Fin-Fan coolers for changing the blade angle and replacing the motor etc.
