I am currently a Custom HL7/Integration Engineer for IBM Watson Health Imaging – Merge for the past four years. My role within the Professional Services Division is to analyze, design, test, implement, migrate, monitor and support interconnectivity and interfaces between the client’s assets and the cardio application server assets they purchase from IBM Watson Health Imaging – Merge. These application integrations include Cardio Manager, HemoDynamics, Merge Pacs, Enterprise Archive and standalone Mirth servers. As of today I have 28 active integration projects, and have completed a total of 103 implementations from Sales to Project Close and transitioned to Support. My team is a bunch of fun, friendly and experienced people and I love being a part of one whenever possible.
My clients have ranged from small population clinics to major professional health enterprises from all American time zones. This has given me additional experience in working with implementations including major client EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Nextgen, Allscripts, McKesson and Meditech.
Previously I was employed at Ochin Inc. in Portland, Oregon. I served as a HL7 Interface Programmer/Developer under Professional Services. My role at Ochin provided a broad experience integrating a multitude of medical facility entities into the Epic Enterprise as well as the various Epic modules for their use; including Epic Ambulatory, Cadence, Beaker, Cupid, Epic Care Everywhere and Radiant. Epic Bridges, Data Courier, Identity and Mirth Connect were my primary tools there. I completed a total of 10 successful client Epic implementations while I was there.
At Bend Memorial Clinic I served as an I.S. Application Analyst and Interfacing Engineer. When I left BMC (now Summit Health Care) in late December we were currently four months post go live of our Epic 2014 implementation that finished in August. My role in that Epic implementation was as a FTE Interface Engineer and assisting Data Conversions.
These opportunities and the experience they have provided have privileged me to be certified in Epic Bridges 2014 as of September of 2014 and also completing their Graduate Program trials which include experience in Data Courier, Cache and Identity tools. I have a broad experience working a variety of common Interface Integration Engines including Ensemble, Corepoint, Epic’s Bridges and Mirth Connect. I have experienced a total of 116 Practice Management (EMR/EHR) and Auxillary Application implementations; 2 as an I.S. Help Desk/Interface Trainee for NextGen Enterprise clients, 1 as an I.S. Application Analyst/Interface Engineer for Bend Memorial Clinic’s Epic 2014, 10 client Epic integrations at Ochin Inc. and 103 Cardio/Rad Suite implementations while at IBM Watson Health Imaging - Merge.
I strongly believe and emphasize professionalism, reliability and detail checking in my work ethics and I always strive to ensure they remain paragons of my work philosophy. This work philosophy has been forged through working within the roles belonging to Medical Insurance Payer Case Management and Information Technology fields of the health care industry. I am proud to have the workflow perspectives and vision that these roles have given me through experience working within multiple locations that have included primary care provider clinics, ancillary specialist medical facilities, hospitals, medical insurance payers and information technology service providers
