Teach online courses within the MSN program. These classes primarily focus on research, research design, literature review, and mentorship during capstone. Duties include posting multiple times a week within discussion forums, answering student inquires quickly, and grading papers with meaningful feedback. Course evaluations are performed following the completion of each class and feedback is applied to enhance the student experience and knowledge retention.

Advance concepts, advanced pharmacology, and advance pathophysiology are used on a daily basis. Visits are face to face and through the use of telemedicine technology.

Courses taught include NUR 306, Basic Care of the Adult Client, which focused on fundamental skill acquisition and practice. Students were supervised in a hospital setting for clinical. NUR 305, Introduction to Nursing, focused on nursing history, theory, communication, documentation, legal and ethical, lab value interpretation, and a cultural research project with development of patient education material. NUR 340, Communication is a class that focuses on how healthcare professionals communicate with each other, patients, and the organizations they work with. NUR 350, Nursing History is a course that explores how nursing developed into the profession it is today.
Duties also include management of a state of the art simulation lab including scheduling of multiple courses, development of simulations, participating in the supervision of various simulations, budget development, and inventory oversight. Co-work with one assistant whose duties are supervised and appraised. Three years on medical-surgical floor. Cross trained in stepdown ICU, chemotherapy administration, recovery room, cardiac rehab, and cardiac cath lab. Two years as the infection control nurse and the employee health nurse. Developed monitoring protocols for various hospital acquired infections and created multiple Excel documents to aid in tracking including the automatic generation of reports and charts. Educated staff in various ways, including staff meetings, about hospital acquired infections, hand washing, and pressure ulcers. Tracked and reported to NHSN various quality improvement mandates. 2016 Utilizing Learning Styles for Individualized Education to Primary Child Caregivers
A capstone project presented at Loyola University New Orleans as part of requirements to complete the Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree. The project focused on giving education to parents of children with upper respiratory illness symptoms based on their learning preferences determined by the VARK.
