To conduct machine and scale setting to properly monitor the weight of the cut materials based on the requirements.

Calculate the cutting length for every schedule of the item to be processed.

Responsible in preventive maintenance on machine.

Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to

specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers,

templates and ruler.

Read work orders and production schedules to determine

specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of

cutting lines and dimensions and tolerances.

Load work pieces, plastic material or chemical solutions

into machines.

Turn controls to set cutting speeds, feed rates or table angles

for specified operations.

Turn valves to start flow of coolant against cutting areas or

to start airflow that blows cuttings away from kerfs.

Inform the superior in case of machine breakdown and other machine related problem.

Clean the machine after leaving the area

Clean the machine at the beginning and end of the shift.

Maintain the machine in good working condition.

Record the production data in the log sheet

Ensure that both the rigger and crane operator is familiar with the method of signal to be used.

Always use clear and distinct signals (either by the hand and radio) to control lifting operations in poor light conditions.

Be aware of the wind speed and direction and don’t forget to put barricade in the area.

Ensure that no load is to be lifted where the weight is not stated or unknown.

Familiar with lifting capabilities of the crane.

Check that the lifting equipment being used is in good condition and color coded.

Ensure tag lines are always attached to loads that are likely to swing.

Be aware of any obstruction within the crane radius and working area.

Check that the area around the load to be lifted is clear.

No personnel are below the load or stay under the suspended load.

Note: Machine used; US made by WF Wells-Semi-Automatic with 1” B1-Metal Blade, Carbide guide blocks, Manual vise operation, Normally controlled blade tension, Built in coolant system.
