Clarke Square Neighborhood Initiative (CSNI)

Executive Director 2012–2014

Oversaw administration, coordination, programming and scal performance and established community relationships.

Restructured the fund development plan leading to $260,000 raised in the rst half year.

Took the CSNI from the development phase to the implementation phase in six months by streamlining operations, increasing revenue, and creating and implementing a more e cient service delivery model, ultimately expanding capacity to 8,000 people receiving direct services.

Provided leadership, oversight and outcome tracking for over 50 partners (agencies and businesses) of CSNI, organized around the 10-pronged Quality of Life Plan—for example, strategies included Community–School Partnership and Employment & Job Training.

Directed community collaborations that led to the Clarke Square Neighborhood experiencing an increase in economic development, reduction in neighborhood crime, and a signi cant increase in positive media attention. Medical College of Wisconsin

Spearheaded the Violence Prevention Initiative at the Medical College of Wisconsin, the second-largest research institute in the state with a $900 million annual budget.

Forged new relationships with the philanthropic community, allowing for the developing and implementing a ve-year, $8.2 million Violence Prevention Initiative (VPI) that reached 197,000 people.

Led a sector-based approach to bring together leaders from government, industry, education, and economic and workforce development to address the needs of communities and the prevention of violence. is initiative led to a more e ective deployment of local resources.

Coordinated e orts with the Board of Directors to complete a $500,000 capital campaign to eliminate the mortgage on the Latino Community Center’s building and renovated the facility to make it more energy e cient and conducive for providing services.

Led the development of a sector strategy that brought together leaders from government, industry, education, and workforce development to address the needs of students and employers, leading to a coordinated deployment of services, including the expansion of Violence Free Zones to a total of eight schools in Milwaukee.

Initiated a strategic media and communications plan that increased our brand, services, and community impact at a local and national level.
