Summary of Principal Duties

My duty is to increase quality through Continuous Improvement, monitoring cost of Quality and quality process and drive customer satisfaction within the division. I drive a Culture of Quality where quality is built-in to the planning process, enabling teams to do their work right the first time, where processes are followed in execution, where shortcomings and defects are captured as non-conformances, where problems are fed back into the organization for accountability and resolution, and where ideas and lessons learned are captured for future improvement. I help front-line and back office teams resolve problems.

My further duties include but not limited to the following…

1.Ensure that all the departments within workshop and field sites at all-time comply with the requirements of the applicable ASME Code, National Board Inspection Code, and Quality Control Manual.

2.Review the applicable Code Edition / Addenda after issue for change required by such and to arrange for any necessary revisions to quality control system.

3.Work with Project leaders and teams to create a roadmap of continuous improvement projects and track.

4.Review of EPC QA/QC Manual & Procedures.

5.Review/ Issue the following:

-Welder Qualification & Welding procedure records (WPS, PQR)

-Welding Records job wise

-QA/QC Document Transmittals

-NDT requests & Records

-Inspection Reports as per ISO formats.

-Procedures for all kinds of jobs

-QC Dossiers for all kinds of jobs

-Calibration records for all QC Equipment

6.Monitor and control for all welding activities and applying the required NDT.

7.Initiate statistical reports on Quality performance for welders (KPI).

8.Identify and communicate lessons learned though the Projects lifecycle.

9.Review of Quality Documents to ensure they are in accordance with Customer requirements.

10.Creation of Quality ITPs per Industry standards and Customer requirements.

11.Coordination with Customer Team for timely approval and implementation of the ITPs.

12.Continuous improvement of ITPs to incorporate Customer feedback and lessons learned.

13.Working with suppliers to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with Contract requirements.

14.Collation of Quality Data books (TOPs) for products to present to Customer and get approval.

15.Definition of Product Acceptance Criteria per applicable industry standards.

16.Planning and execution of internal meetings to identify non-conformances and areas for improvement.

17.Identifies quality problems, initiates documented action and verifies implementation of solutions.

18.Check that customer requirements are fully determined, reviewed and considered in all site activities.

19.Ensure that Customer is duly informed of site Quality issues and progress.

20.Issue work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and with the contract requirements.

21.Check on a regular basis that quality-related activities are in line with the project cost and time schedules.

22.Participate in analysis of site deviations, problem solving and site corrective actions.

23.Inform the SM, CM and jointly stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work.

24.Ensure materials of the project are submitted and approved by consultant and /or client.

25.Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.

26.Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built hand over.

27.Ensures the quality records, acceptance certificates, installation completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and areas are prepared and collated in accordance with the project requirements.

28.Create Punch list and arrange for all parties walk downs, monitor and control the status of punch list.

29.Coordinate with the commissioning manager to define the scope of work.

30.Follow construction problems and give the proper solution as per engineering design requirements.

31.Review RFI & check it as per ITP and project procedures.

32.Follow up and evaluate inspectors’ daily activities and performance.

33.Review and certification of Manufacturer's Data Reports for Code Items.

34.Review all contract documents that pertain to the quality aspects of the work.

35.Monitor periodical calibration of measuring and testing equipment and maintenance of record of the calibration activities.

36.Collect records described in Quality Control Manual, and review them for completeness, correctness and Code compliance.

37.Prepare the overall inspection and testing schedule based on the construction schedule.

38.Coordinate external inspection agencies when required (BMS).

39.Preparation of welding books (welding Map, PQR, WPS, welding matrix and welder’s certifications) according to ASME, AWS D1.1 and/or EN.

40.Create Turn Over Dosser in order to make smooth project handing over with the client.
