Major Projects

Sales Order Consignment Stock Reconciliation

• Enhancement involved locking down storage location inventory to specific sales order/item. This control ensured the quantity issued, delivered and billed are the same.

• SAP provides standard functionality utilizing KB/KA deliveries, but since it required additional transactions and did not provide level of control required a custom solution was required.

• Designed and implemented the solution using: Multiple user-exits/BADIs: Sales order, Delivery, Material document, and delivery/billing copy controls. Also created custom ALV transaction to issue/return stock and multiple ALV report

• Enabled business to ensure all stock issued to sales order was either billed or returned to inventory. Prior to this project large amounts of inventory remained assigned to job and was not billed to customer and inventory had to be written-off.

• Functionality was developed in 2001 and is still be used. Mobile Development - Inventory Management

• Built mobile web applications for Motorola MC9090 device for perform inventory management transactions (Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Physical Inventory, and Reservations)

• Designed and implemented using JAVA WebDynpro for front end and connected to ERP backend using JCO connector to custom BAPO wrapper function modules.

• Utilized SAP application log (SLG1) to track usage to allow business to monitor usage/adoption of Handheld scanner.

• Functionality was developed in 2008 and was used until 2019 when it was replaced by Neptune IOS application. Purchase Requisition Workflow Approval

• Utilized standard SAP Requisition workflow with custom agent assignment.

• Created tab on purchase requisition utilizing standard BADI/customer screen that allows requisitioner to input user for workflow assignment.

• Also created JAVA WebDynpro application for requisition approval connected to ERP backend using JCO connector to custom BAPO wrapper function module.

ABAP WebDynpro - Adobe Interactive form

• Created Application that allows users to update storage location description.

• Utilized Adobe Interactive Form for user interface. This allowed form to be completed offline and then uploaded to application and process update to ECC.

• Update to SLOC description performed via custom function module that calls custom maintenance view. Automatic PO creation - OCI Catalog

• Developed batch program that automatically creates Purchase Order OCI Catalog Purchase Requisitions and Maintenance Orders.

• Upon final release of Purchase requisition record is inserted in custom table and event raised which invokes batch job for Purchase Order creation.

Cross Dock Project

• Shipment/Handling Unit customizations, IDOC integration with Freight forwarders (EDI 214) and Handheld devices for Cross Dock

• The project involved taking existing legacy SAPSCRIPT billing document output and making it modular so that same logic could be used across multiple output formats (print, IDOC) and documents (Billing, Shipment). In the past the existing SAPSCRIPT and driver program were cloned which was very difficult to maintain.

• My approach to solving this program required taking existing logic from multiple versions of SAPSCRIPT and driver programs and consolidating all this logic and into an ABAP Class that could be re-used across all relevant output formats and documents. From there it was just a mapping exercise from common ABAP class to Smartform or IDOC.

• From a user perspective the output looked exactly the same but from a technical perspective the existing logic was simplified and was easy to understand the code and maintain it.

• Built mobile web applications for Motorola MC9090 device for perform Cross dock scanning functions

• Developed Freight Condition Load Program for complex pricing conditions. Utilized standard IDOC functional module to read pricing conditions and dynamically mapped to ALV Grid Excel spreadsheet. Once spreadsheet updates completed the process is reversed and data mapped back to IDOC and processed IDOC to update data. Factory Planner Interface Optimization

• Optimized Extract/Upload process for external planning tool: Factory Planner

• Extracts: Production Order, Bill of Material, MRP elements, Routings. Upload: Planned Order/Requisition, Production Order

• Reduced overall cycle time from 8 hours to 3 hours using parallel processing.

• Utilized SAP SPTA framework (SPTA_PARA_PROCESS_START) to simplify development and ensure data consistency.
