Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and safety assessment over the phone with hotline callers, which can include shelter intakes, shelter/hotel agreements, or referrals based on the intake results.

Provide conflict resolution, transportation arrangements, crisis counseling, and case management support for current Participants, which can be as many as 5 families at a time.

Provides both informal and formal, individual and house meetings, to resolve roommate or community conflicts.

Complete documentation through case or service notes via Apricot Solutions—a software used to keep track of all services provided at the shelter.

Conduct nightly house inspections and maintain the organization standards for the clothing garage, which includes a complete inventory of all items being brought in or taken out daily through Excel worksheets.

Developed a program with self-care activities to promote healthy ways to actively take a break and choose serenity at the shelter. The program’s budget was approved to repeat twice a week and recur at the end of each term, which is 6 weeks long. The program was presented as a solution after Participants were observed to lack deep connections and rapport with counselors during individual sessions. The program values the quality time invested over the quantity of reports submitted.
