I was also chosen to run on the LRC (Learner Representative Council) in my high school years.

Duties: Oribi was my first opportunity to grow, I started at the bottom from washing dishes all the way up to being GM, were I oversaw the hotel from kitchen rite trough to the rooms. I worked in all departments there is in hospitality which gave me allot of knowledge on how all departments works.

Reason for leaving: The hotel was in the market for selling and no one knew what was going to happen, I was instructed to keep my eyes open for better opportunities. I did and found another job opportunity.

Give a report every month on GPS and wastages. Helping in the Shell shop when it was busy, helping on the forecourt, stock takes and inputs, making and receiving orders for ABI and Steers, doing GRV’s on Steers and Shell invoicing, planning rosters, getting ready for the Shell and Steers audits as well as mystery shoppers, planning on improving the company to make more money, basically running the site when the site manager was not there

Duties: I started as the Restaurant Manager, seating guests helping waiters helping with orders but it got to simple for me so I started to explore reception and events, I helped at first with he events then I took over from Mr. Dean Louw, I had to organise the events, make the bookings, be there for the events, making sure the clients are happy, I re-did the way events is being done to make it easier for everyone. As I was knowledgeable in reception the previous GM Sturat McLaren made me the reception Manager were I took over the reception. I changed allot in the short period I am there from saving money to improving on how reception operates.
