Currently working as a Junior Engineer Cum Lab Chemist at BPCL Kochi Refinery in Crude Distilling Unit under Dorf Ketal Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai, India

Responsibilities:

● Prepare batches for chemical injection.

● Daily monitoring of performance and parameters of Crude Desalters.

● Recommending operational parameters of desalters based on field performance, feed properties and product qualities.

● Calculation of Desalting and Dehydrating efficiencies of crude desalters.

● Daily monitoring and troubleshooting of performance and parameters of Atmospheric Distillation and Vacuum

Distillation Columns for overhead corrosion control.

● Collection of Crude and Sour Water Samples in safe manner for Quality checking and analysis.

● Evaluates results of investigations by carrying out analysis using Centrifuge, Spectrophotometer.

● Salt analysis of inlet, intermediate and desalted outlet crude samples, Chloride content, H2Scontent analysis of Sour water samples by titration method.

● pH analysis of sour water samples using pH meters and pH solution.

● Iron content and Ammonia content analysis of sour water samples using Spectrophotometer and Field Kit.

● Analysis of Basic Sediments and Water of Crude samples using Centrifuge.

● Analysis of Filterable Solids of Crude samples.

● Analysis of Oil and Grease of Brine samples.

● Monitoring and controlling the dosage and consumption of process chemicals such as Demulsifies, Neutralizing Amines, Corrosion Inhibitors, Solid Wetting agents.

● Regular recording and reporting of Unit parameters, Lab analysis results and Chemical consumption details to the customer.

● Ensuring sufficient chemical stock at site.

● Continuous surveillance of unit and reporting to Shift In charge and Panel Engineer.
