PAYROLL SPECIALIST & HUMAN RESOURCES UIHEALTH & UIC CHICAGO ILLINOIS
● Process payroll adjustments for the UIHealth and UIC Medical Staff for over 4000 in the hospital along with UIC University of Illinois Chicago staff personnel for underpayment, overpayments, retro payment, benefit adjustments and payouts.
● Help employees, payroll managers and/or directors within the hospital to adjust their payroll adjustments relating to accurate payroll payments, benefit usage, accruals and proper coding of timesheets within our Kronos and former Clockworks time & attendance systems.
● Provide customer service and support for payroll and human resources, phone calls, guests and all clinets who enter our human resources office daily.
● Within Human Resources for the hospital ID center along with my payroll duties helping employees get up to date IDs for the hospital employees, contractors and support staff as the hospital was going to a new touchless ids for point of access accessibility for hospital staff and its neighboring clinics.
● Working daily within our UIHealth database programs Banner applications to process payroll payments and adjust accounting and coding thru PARIS our payroll processing system within the Banner application system in which how our direct deposits and benefits are monitored and paid out to our employees.
● Provide training for new users to new Kronos attendance approvers and submiters and work on the process workflows for many of our payroll processes, enabling us to explain how the payroll system is reliant on strict deadlines and optimal organization to allow us to make sure employees are paid timely and accurately.
● Every end of bi weekly pay period would support mass payroll processing and adjust new existing or updating timesheets that were dropped off of our payroll processing file and make sure employees timesheet corrections and profile adjustments are done without major delay in their pay..

● Proficient with Microsoft Outlook & Webx

ACTIVITIES
Since being at UIhealth I have managed youth baseball teams, have volunteered on several committees involving employee engagement and Hospital sponsored events. Worked on a communication audit to evaluate positive and negative communication habits and provided a framework to upper management to be able to improve and polish existing communication to its teams. My interests and hobbies involve travel to new places, sports like baseball and hockey and a pretty strong trivia teammate for entertainment, movies, music and usually have something to share in conversation and can relate on many levels.
