Software Test Engineer, Microsoft(Allyis), Redmond, WA October 2019 – Till date

Project - Microsoft Store application

Description: The aim of this project is to test Microsoft store application which is used by store associates at hundreds of Microsoft stores worldwide. In addition to this there are two different applications we test in daily cadence. The main activities covered are all transaction types of user scenarios that are supported in the Microsoft store application.

Reviewed and understood the Business Requirements.

Created detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test cases, identified, tracked and reported bugs using VSTS (Visual Studio Team System).

Tested desktop POS application UI which is used by the worldwide Microsoft store associates and web applications which is used by the Microsoft customers and B2B customers.

Performed E2E test scenarios for all transaction types supported in Microsoft Store applications

(Direct Business sales, quotes, online orders, cash n carry, gift cards, creating discounts using Microsoft Dynamics AX and more).

Performed SQL queries and validate data in application tables to perform Backend Testing against SQL data base.

Found 10 high priority bugs which are critical to Microsoft store that might impact Microsoft store revenue.

Debug issues by analyzing products usage logs and telemetry and fiddler data.

Report bugs and communicate to developers/engineers/PM’s on issues found in Microsoft Store applications.

Active participation in daily, weekly, and monthly review meetings and creating a bug report on daily basis that show overall health and direction of the application.

Project – Event Hub (Web Application)

Developed an event web application that allows anyone to find events, share and attend the events across different places based on their interests.

The web application comprises of five microservices – Event Catalog Microservice, Cart Microservice, Order Microservice, Identity Token Microservice, Web Microservice.

Each Service provides REST full API’s to perform CRUD operations specific to the functionality.

Developed a messaging channel using Rabbit MQ to update the order list. Order list object will be serialized/De-Serialized into the form of JSON before saving or retrieving data into/from Redis Cache.

All microservices, MS SQL SERVER, REDIS, and RABBIT MQ services has been containerized using DOCKER to run on a single server.

Documented our API’s using SWAGGER documentation tool.

Tested API’s using POSTMAN.

Project – Music Library Application (Desktop Application)

Developed a music library application (UWP) where users of the app can each build their collection of music. Allow the user to store a cover image, create playlist, search for music, add to favorites, Command bar for user to forward, reverse, stop, pause, shuffle the music and user can like and dislike the songs.

Implemented an authentication page for user to login the application and advertisement block for the users to check Ads and get reward points on open.

Project - HOPE

Description: The aim of this Project is to automate various activities of the hospital. This project serves as hospital information management system for HOPE. The main activities covered are Doctors Information, Patient details, Nurses details, Employee Information and Lab Information.

Developed test strategies, test plans and test cases for application verification.

Actively involved in logging defects using defect tracking tool JIRA.

Developed test scripts using Selenium Web driver and Java in Eclipse IDE.

Tested compatibility of application for dynamic and static content under various cross browsers using HTML IDs and XPath in Selenium.
