ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY USING CO2 MISCIBLE FLOODING
From all the data and work carried out in the designing and calculating of MMP for the different gas compositions. It is clear that the gas components which are N2, 02 and CHA will increase the value of MMP. While lbs and light hydrocarbons such as - will reduce the An interesting note is, the purest C02 does not leads to the best oil recovery in the same period of time. Recycled gas with 20mol% impurities seems to be better for EOR in the reservoir. According to the measured impurity composition, the pseudo component N2- C02 will achieve more MMP value.
As we increase the amount of CH4 and N2 concentrations in C02, the saturation pressure Increases. On the other hand, a decrease in critical temperature is observed as the amount of impurity increased. It is quite noticeable that 15%N2 and 20% S02 will shows a highest saturation pressure among all the impurities considered. Simulation results showed that there is an optimum composition range for the injected gas to achieve maximum oil recovery and a limited amount of impurities can be tolerated in the recycled gas injection without impairing with the C02. Because ofthe limited quantity of impurities in the actual produced gas, C02 is minimally affected. Activities
