Following the completion of my MD, I continued to work in the field of Bipolar Disorder and biomarkers.
Title: “Oculomotor Abnormalities as a Potential Endophenotype for Bipolar I Disorder: An Eye- Tracking Study of Saccades and Smooth Pursuit”
Description: This study main hypothesis is to test whether the oculomotor abnormalities are present in Bipolar disorder patients and first-degree relatives compared to healthy individuals
If so, is there any role of such abnormalities as endophenotype markers
The main implication of this study is to find non-invasive biomarkers for bipolar disorder which can be utilized at routine clinics
Research interests
Examining the neurobiological markers and endophenotypes in patients who are in the early course of bipolar and comparing them with subjects at high-risk for developing psychosis and bipolar disorder
Elucidating biomarkers for Bipolar and Schizophrenia
Examining bio-signatures predicting the medication response
Examining the neurobiological markers and endophenotypes in subjects at high-risk for developing psychosis and bipolar disorder
