Visual Consultant

• Lead the Visual Merchandising Department who is responsible for the overall look and feel of Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi which consist of more than 400 stores.

• Review of Architectural drawings for all Shop fit outs, Specialty Leasing Units and Marketing Events & Promotions.

• Developed and established Fit out Guidelines of Marina Mall AUH for Shops, Specialty Leasing and Marketing.

• Attending meetings with Projects Team, Consultant, Contractor and Service Provider.

• Ensuring all handover related obligations between all parties are adhered to during handover phase.

• Ensuring that all statutory approvals are obtained by the tenant before commencing the fit out works and before opening the units.

• Preparing comprehensive defect & snag list and ensuring that issues are rectified on time.

• Works within tight deadlines with the variety of tenants and workers who may not perform up to the standards set in by the Mall Management.

• Focus to create and maintain an image for the stores that resonates with their target customers, increase customer traffic in the store, and guide customers' browsing through merchandise placement and store layout to result in an eventual sale.

• Enhance Mall tenants shop front window display design, props and accessories, merchandising, lighting, decoration etc., taking responsibility for 'the look' of the store with the aim of promoting goods in order to maximize sales.

• Update the display themes based on seasons of the year, annual events such as Eid, Ramadan, New Year, current fashions and trends, and sales and promotions.

• Develop the standards of the tenants sales and promotions window displays (stickers, posters, etc.).

• Upgrade the standards of Specialty Leasing kiosks and exhibitions and involve in marketing promotional decorations.

• Conduct research based on lifestyle concepts and trends, as well as store and/ or regional.

• Attributes and introduce new ideas to window decoration.

• Assist in the development of floor plans and sketching designs and develop understanding of presentation.

• Maximize the space and Layout of vacant stores through installing and dismantling displays, using available space to the best advantage

• Set up a 'model' or 'mock' store according to the latest design directives and then photograph the store's windows, walls and displays in order to create a visual merchandising pack to send out to tenants stores(to ensure consistency with the Mall brand and image).

• Supervise the vacant units' hoarding look and feel.

Senior Visual Merchandiser

• Responsible and lead the overall look and feel of the Dubai Mall which consist of over 1200 stores.

• Regular mall visit to ensure that all activities in common areas of the mall are as per the mall standard. This includes all Specialty Leasing Units (more or less 200 units) consisting of Promotions, Kiosk, Carts, Window Showcases and ATM’s.

• Build effective working relationship with the mall retailers regarding the product and window displays. Identifying issues, issuing warning letters meeting tenants, and giving deadlines to ensure that the mentioned issues have been rectified.

• Ensure development and training of Sales Staff on merchandising standards, space planning and layout and other visual merchandising techniques.

• Constant coaching and guiding sales staff on Visual Merchandising implementation based on the business needs. Coordinate with the tenants/owners in delivering a consistent standard in all areas of the mall.

• Coordinating with all the departments – marketing, events, and retail and leasing to share new ideas and working closely for any upcoming events and promotions.

• Supervise development of creative and innovative Visual Merchandising seasonal concept solutions.

• Created the Visual Merchandising Manual of The Dubai Mall which includes operational guidelines. Manage construction and documentation of all updates in the manual.
