Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket is a 500 bedded hospital and is the central hub with 12 other branches throughout the city, making it a total of over 3000 bedded organization. The Department of Emergency has a daily turnover of plus 300 patients and is equipped with bedside noninvasive monitoring system, crash carts, resuscitation suite and a fully equipped minor operation theatre. At present I am working as a THIRD YEAR RESIDENT in the Department. In our Emergency, we get patients pertaining to all fields of Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Trauma, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Neurology, NeuroSurgery, ENT, Dermatology and Ophthalmology. The three year masters programme includes daily classes, morning reports, power point presentations by residents as well as faculty, bedside teaching, clinical evaluations, maintaining a log book, pre test and post test each month and simulation classes.
We work on a daily basis in shifts, rotated between mornings, evenings and nights. I have also completed my rotations in various ICU’S like Medical ICU, Stroke ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Pediatric ICU and Trauma Care Centre during my Masters
My role is primarily
