Oversee the day to day running of the gold processing plant and undertaking process improvements in the gold processing operation.

Plant operator, Cam and Motor Gold Mine, March 2017 – December 2018 Responsibilities:

Oversee the day to day running of the gold processing plant and undertaking process improvements.

Troubleshooting, root cause analysis of process deviations during the production shift, plant problem solving, implementing preventative and corrective measures during shifts.

Coordinating with engineering to timeously attend to equipment breakdowns and that ensuring that downtime is kept minimum.

Coordinating with mining and technical services departments on ore quantity and quality that is being fed in the plant.

Attending production meetings, discussing with other departments issues likely to affect production and also discussing ways to optimize production.

Supervising and mentoring a team of thirty people (process supervisors, process attendants) to ensure that production targets are surpassed in accordance to company’s health, safety and environmental standards.

Ensuring that incidents/accidents are minimized and reduced during the shift by enforcing good safety practices and tasks are done as per standard work procedure.

Assisting and shadowing the metallurgical clerk in compiling daily, weekly and monthly production reports.

Conducting process improvements and research test works for process control, process optimization and other project work as required by metallurgists and plant superintendent.
