DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT AND REFERRAL; INDIVIDUAL MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY- Christine Kerno, LICSW-Supervisor

Worked with the local Native Community: children, adolescents and adults. Performed Diagnostic Assessments on new or current clients. After performing the Diagnostic Assessment interview, I would use collateral information and client information to determine if there is a current MH Diagnosis needed. A formal Diagnostic write up process would be conducted. A child with a Emotional Disturbance, and an adult with a Serious and Persistent Mental Illness would be considered eligible for in house services such as: Mental Health Case Management; Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS); Children’s Therapeutic Service and Support (as is considered medically necessary.) Individual Therapy for clients would be provided on a weekly basis. Adult therapy would be held in office, and adolescent therapy in the school system through visitation. Therapy paperwork would consist of Treatment Plans and progress note writeup.
