Automated Aversive Stimulus Behavioral Testing Environment (A.A.S.B.T.E) January 2018 - December 2018

Electrical Design Lead

Designed a system to test rat behavior after introducing an air puff stimulus.

Designed and programmed an Arduino board to monitor the rat movement in coordination with the XY plotter utilizing cameras, relay and Matlab as a programming language.

Lead electrical design: Designed a fully functional electrical circuit to support the computer controller.

Conducted necessary market and technical research to obtain the appropriate materials and components needed for the project.

Designed a puffer simulation circuit using an LED circuit and Relay.

Developed the mechanism known as the XY plotter from the kit for the purpose of moving the air puff tube anywhere in the box.

Co-lead design of logic diagram for monitoring the lab rat movement.

Lead medical technical training

Gaining insight on ECG technology by cultivating a relationship with patients and performing medical examinations such as taking vitals and EKGs.

Becoming intimate with clinical medical equipment to comply with medical regulation requirements by evaluating the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of Biomedical Equipment such as EKG, Blood pressure Machine (Manual and digital), Glucose Monitor Machine, Temperature Monitor, Centrifuge, Nebulizer, Pulse Oximeter Device, and Tens Machine).

Coordinate maintenance and calibration of the medical equipment.

Maintain supplies such as Electrodes, EKG Leads and Adaptors, Probes for the temperature monitor, mouthpiece, nebulizer masks, etc.
