PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Dedicated Account Specialist at “Shell Marine Products, US” for their number one account, Military Sealift Command (MSC) on all transactions from Ordering to Invoicing.

Successfully participated in transitioning 3rd party locations nationwide to transfer ownership of all SHELL owned products to these streamlined distributorships. Assisted Supply Chain & Finance group while initiating the (DFOA) process.

Analyze stock counts (Min. / Max.) to ensure adequate quantities on-hand. Identify slow moving product with the possibility of relocation or recommend adjustment as obsolete. Create requisitions for products requiring approval by senior management. Create and process purchase orders in ERP systems.

Contact various vendors to procure product including price negotiating, delivery requirements, and transportation costs associated with said product.

Worked directly with members of the Finance group in converting a nationwide, multi-million dollar inventory of concrete mold equipment from original database to SAP R/3 (M.M.), by processing, and validating cycle counts. Improved accountability of equipment through various communication forms.

Selected to participate in the implementation of SAP R/3 for Union Carbide Corp. This required extensive training at various locations including a Kinder Morgan Terminal in Chicago, Illinois as well as a Dow Chemical latex plant in Sarnia, Ontario Canada. Procedures were tested and fine-tuned to create an effective process to provide product more accurately, and service more efficiently.

Chosen to participate in the Diamond Implementation for Dow Chemical involving the transition of operating systems from SAP R/3 (Union Carbide) to SAP R/2 (Dow Chemical) as part of a corporate merger and downsizing. This included very detailed & forensic inventory reconciliation to ensure the inventories would be most accurate for the conversion to the new operating systems.

While at Compaq Computers as a contractor, was trained and certified as an SAP R3 super-user by Price Waterhouse Coopers for the Cashel Corporation. Upon the successful conversion of operating systems from Man-Man to SAP R/3 was selected to attend various meetings with members of senior management, procurement, and outside vendors to improve the flow of raw materials to finished product.

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:

Inventory Analyst / Dedicated Account Specialist, Shell Marine Products U.S., c/o Accountants Int’l. @ One Shell Plaza Houston, Texas. Currently responsible for monitoring all MSC (Military Sealift Command) transactions from creation of order, delivery, to invoicing. Create weekly SRI report upon completion of orders. Liaise with MSC employees on various subjects to ensure customer receives best service, product, and follow-up on any outstanding concerns.

Prior to MSC I was reporting to Supply-Chain & Finance departments where the duties included maintaining company inventories @ 15 nationwide 3rd party product distributorships, and 3 toll blenders’ locations. Running / Analyzing FIFO, managing G/L accounts, and analyzing open purchase order reports. Reconciling monthly inventory counts, annual audit counts, and daily inquiries for all locations. Assist in the tracking and possible relocation of slow-moving product, and disposal of all obsolete product. (2007-2019)

Equipment Pool Coordinator, Hydro Conduit, a division of Rinker Materials, Houston Corporate Engineering Office. Responsible for maintaining a multi-million dollar pool of concrete mold equipment for 50+ production facilities located throughout the country. Monitoring, and reconciling costs for rental of mold equipment. Requesting new or replacement products pending approval. Contact vendor for pricing, scheduling, and delivery arrangements. Creating purchase orders for various services and products utilizing the SAP R/3 system. Arranging transportation of mold equipment via trucking companies, and truck brokerages. (2002-2006)

Distribution Controller, Union Carbide, a subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, Houston, Texas. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories at various plants throughout the world. Processing internal and external customer orders for bulk liquid trucks, package orders, railcars, barges, and deck tanks. Provided after- hours support to all Union Carbide from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am CST. (1999-2002)

Material Handler / Inventory Specialist, Compaq Computers, Houston, Texas. Responsible for the steady flow of raw materials from the warehouse to assembly lines at various manufacturing buildings. Assist with daily and monthly cycle counts. Research and reconciling all materials handled by the Cashel Corporation to provide accurate inventories with full accountability. (1995-1999)

Ramp Agent / Courier, Flying Tiger Lines / Federal Express, Boston, Massachusetts & Houston, Texas. Courier for four plus years at a satellite hub on the northwest side of town. Ramp-agent duties included IATA / ICAO and DOT dangerous goods inspections of all materials labeled as a hazardous material. This service was provided at the satellite hub as well as the airport facility. Some of the other ramp-agent functions were the build-up and break down of both inbound and outbound materials, loading and unloading of various cargo configured aircraft, which ranged from small packages to pieces of freight in excess of 40,000 pounds or 40 plus feet of pipe and other unique materials. (1977-1995)

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Graduated in 1975 from Danvers High School in Danvers, Massachusetts with majors in Graphic Arts & English Literature.
