Graphic Artist/Marketing Assistant

Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role used my graphic design, customer relations and organisational expertise to plan, manage and deliver graphic design support from concept through to pre-press for the regional hospital in Delano, California and its rural clinics and services/departments.

Engaging with a wide variety of clients (stockholders), my work incorporated both print and digital formats across a broad range of tasks from publications, advertising and promotions collateral through to information booklets, branding, signage, and event support. As the organisation’s sole Graphic Designer I had a strong understanding of the full design process – including the print production process. I was positive, hard-working, self-reliant and creative. I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and was able to meet deadlines handling multiple tasks at one time. I was comfortable working independently, but also worked well within a team. Being flexibility, attention to detail, time management, prioritisation and communication skills have always been the keys to my success. Assisting with marketing and communications, I managed and updating all social media pages. Designed all online and print advertising and billboards, and worked directly with vendors from orders to completion of projects.
