Project : Standard Life Insurance

Technologies : SAS/Base, SAS/ODS, SAS/Macro, SAS/SQL.

Description : The Aim of this project is to develop a Global Media Audit System which provides wide range of solutions to all clients across the globe. As a first step, the Marketing and Media investment analysis was initiated for US, Mexico, Canada, UK and Portugal. This system would further be expanded to the whole of Europe.

This process measures and optimizes the value of marketing, advertising and digital investments for clients by offering a suite of proven, robust methodologies based on extensive experience and capabilities. We aim at providing a 360 degree view to media auditing and investments enabling to evaluate, measure and optimize their media vs the plan.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collecting and Understanding the project requirements

Design and build datasets according to project specifications by using SAS/BASE and SAS/SQL

Manipulating the data sets as per the requirement and given description

Description : Procurement Card is a Master Card issued through a bank which gives the Cardholder freedom and authority to make small dollar purchases with ease. The advantages of Procurement card are that it drastically reduces the amount of time and paperwork required to purchase low dollar items, it speeds up the payment to vendors, it enables purchase of items online, and Paperwork will be done once in a month vs. every time you wish to make the purchase. The project was concentrated on finding out illegal transactions and unauthorized users of the card.

Collecting Business Requirements

Creation of new datasets from raw data files using Import and infile techniques and modified existing datasets using Set, Merge, Update, and conditional statements

Creation of derived datasets from raw data files as per the instructions, using different techniques in Data step and procedures

Perform data checks as needed to understand structure and content of data

Develop SAS programs to support various validation tasks as dictated by project Specification

Modifying the programs as per comments provided by the programming valuator and the statistician
