Operations Management Expertise You Can Count On To Unlock Maximum Value
A versatile Engineer with 25 plus years of operational development experience working for oil and gas companies ten of which 10 were with major service company (Schlumberger). In that role, I delivered field services and engineering from the design, to execution and evaluation phase. My experience with the E&P side involved managing all services and technologies provided by service companies. In those roles, not only I was involved in managing the capital spending with strong input, I always took the lead to optimize workflows and develop technologies in collaboration with service companies to that efficient straight line under a limited budget with set PKIs to deliver the same or better with less budget than the last time.
Pragmatic, strong analytical, collaborative leader, very hands on, operationally experienced with both conventional and unconventional assets including new and/or mature fields. With strong leadership and interpersonal skills, my role has always been, project-oriented with overall responsibility for analyzing, identifying, evaluating, and deploying performance review of cost effective technologies throughout the upstream oil and gas industry for a myriad of fields, reservoir types, rocks and conventional and unconventional deposits.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the highest levels of service and commitment to the mission of any organization I have worked for. My position in a leadership engineering role was eliminated as a casualty of the downturn in the O&G market in Q2 of 2020. While I have also done most of the upstream related operation engineering in the past, I am looking for a new, full-time role where I can continually contribute to the long-term success of an organization. I am looking for a company with a desire to improve from within. While I am currently in the Calgary area, I would gladly relocate for the right company and culture.

Professional Experience
Bellatrix Exploration, Calgary, Operations Manager D&C 2014 to 2020
Managing all aspects of the company’s drilling, completion, workover and abandonment activities in collaboration with asset development team members. Collaborated with production Engineering group and the Environment, Safety and Regulatory team
oAchieved 134% improvement on the Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF) at 0.63 as compared to industry average of 0.85
oFully abandoned 125 wells, of which 90 were in the IWCP program. The abandonment budget was between $1.5 - $1.9 million (net) per year, total ARO spend averaged $2.5 million each year

Enerplus Energy, Sr. Completion Operations Specialist (Contract)
This role that involves the overall planning and execution and evaluation of complex drilling and completion projects within a multifunctional team environment. The role includes reservoir stimulation design, program preparation, equipment selection and post-well reviews with recommendations to improve performance. In this position, I had to draw from my well-developed skill set in fracturing design and technology, and the continuous improvement mentality.
MontD’Or Petroleum, Sr. Production operations & Engineering Manager
Heavily involved in the production, well operations, completion solutions and Stimulation techniques for oil/gas wells (including multi-stage fracturing and Reservoir Secondary and Tertiary EOR design for tight oil and shale plays) and Expert level in most Artificial Lift Solutions selection, design, troubleshooting and optimization of Electrical Submersible Pumps, rod pumps including beam pumps, Progressive cavity pumps surveillance, and gas lift systems.
Harvest Energy, Sr. Production operations & Engineering Manager
Within my mandate, I developed and promoted novel solutions for Harvest oil and gas wells and elaborated a yearly activity budget to compensate production decline and production volume optimization with an allocated budget of 30 to 40 $MM. Reviewed and recommended and approved Reservoir Secondary Oil Recovery solutions for different fields. Surface facility project management (compression station, Dehydration, Separation and metering requirement) for different fields located with AB, SK and BC
Ephindo Ltd, Chief Technical Officer - FDP
Developed internal capability for assessing technology based on the value of information – on cost, impact on resource and reserves, and cycle time reduction. Developed, coring, drilling, completion, stimulation and production fit for purpose practices and decision-making processes to mitigate risk and improve chances of success. Closely worked with certifiers to successfully book 2C, 2P reserves for 3 out of 6 production sharing contracts awarded to the company between 2010, 2011 and 2012. Played a lead role in the reservoir evaluation stage, ensuring high quality predictive models with insight into the uncertainty envelope, all leading to quality investment decisions.
Santos Australia, Lead Development Engineer – Operation Readiness advisor
Part of the field development team for an over $15.0 billion project. My role was strongly involved with putting together field development plans for one of the major coal seam gas to liquefied natural gas projects (1.5 BCFD of gas to feed 2 LNG trains) in Australia. Identified well concept improvement opportunities and delivered clear directions to the field’s development strategy. Submitted a full well technology Concepts for Field Development Plan (drilling. completion, stimulation, artificial lift). Provided expert knowledge to the operational readiness program therefore ensuring organizational capability to safely and effectively operate assets as delivered by GLNG Upstream development project.
NAL Resources, Engineering Team Lead – Field Development Operations Coordinator
Leading the field development team that engineered and executed the first multistage stimulation horizontal wells in Alberta. Modeled, designed and successfully applied selective multi-stage fracturing in deep Cardium tight reservoirs improving productivity by up to 1000%. First to develop CBM play for NAL in central Alberta by providing all the engineering from drilling to commissioning of about 200 CBM wells, low pressure gathering network and two full compression stations including separation and gas dehydration.
Vermilion Energy, Sr. Engineer – Field Development Operations
Fluent in French, I was assigned to look after the Vermilion French assets acquired in 1997. My priority was to find new ways and bring innovative solutions to develop the Aquitaine and Paris oil basins. The role involved the development and promotion of novel solutions in the drilling and completion of oil and gas wells and elaborate a yearly activity budget (30 to 40 MM Euro) to compensate production decline. Production grew from 5000 BOED in 2001 to over 7000 BOED in 2005 to 10,000 BOED in 2007. Used new technologies in the horizontal wells stimulation of the Dogger formation carbonates and brought production to wells where it had previously no presence. First to design and apply hydraulic fracture stimulation, and Underbalanced drilling concepts for Vermilion France with great success in the Triassic sandstone formation in the Paris basin.
Schlumberger Oil Field Services, General Field Engineer – Field Operations
With an evolving curriculum, as business demands, I had the training and the skills to provide the industry’s most comprehensive range of products and services, from exploration through production, and integrated pore-to-pipeline solutions that optimize hydrocarbon recovery to deliver reservoir performance sustainably. From a well’s drilling, formation evaluation and logging, MWD, LWD, direction & geo-steering drilling, well cementing, Matrix acidizing, fracturing to production optimization. With hundreds of courses and training hours, and field operations that reinforced my experience with Dowell, Wireline and Anadrill services, I became a professional engineer helping customers meet modern challenges using the latest digital, technical, and software solutions. I was offering integrated drilling and completions technologies, project management, well design, remote real-time support, covering the entire scope of well construction.
