• Sr. Database Software Database Developer Payden & Rygel (Jul 23 -- Present)

Create stored procedures, views, functions to support the inhouse database. Design and develop .ASPX pages for the corporate website. Work with upper management to design and development ETL import process from outside partners. Created a process to replace old outdated ETL processes utilizing DTS.

• Sr. Database Software Database Developer KBHome (Mar 23 -- Present)

Created the corporate one stop reporting site in the new SharePoint online office 365 environment. Converted slow performing stored procedure utilizing link servers to fast SSIS packages. Create SSRS reports using XML data stored in database tables. Modified 35 .ASPX pages to communicate with the new SharePoint 365 environment.

• Sr. Database Software Database Developer/DBA PCM (Nov 13 – 02/17/2020)

Hired as the Lead Databases Developer for the EC System (Enterprise Catalog System). EC is the replacement system for the legacy system IMS (Item Maintenance System), IMS was written in VB6, ASP.NET and SQL Server 2005. EC replace IMS and was written in C#, APS.NET and SQL Server 2014. As Lead Database Developer, designed the and build the table structures and all stored procedures and all database objects used for the UI application. EC also contains EDI components to import data from the legacy IMS system and software and hardware catalog items from CNet, Microsoft, Adobe, Corel, VMWare and other EDI/ETL partners. As the Senior Database Developer, I built to support EC, IMS and SAP over 300 stored procedures, 700 tables, 20 Views, 35 functions, 55 SSIS packages,22 SSRS reports, 75 Agent Jobs and 15 CLR C# libraries. As a Senior Software Developer, architected a multi-threaded process written in C# to import, resize and catalogs images, HTML and PDF files from CNet and external partners. Created a window service to export and email Excel spread sheets without using Excel that used the NPOI .NET libraries (no Excel license needed on the application servers). Designed and built a process to parse HTML files and import the images from the embedded URL into the EC database. Made major modifications in the VB6 and ASP.NET code in the IMS system and upgraded them to .NET win forms and web forms.. As the DBA I installed the following versions of SQL Servers 2008,2012 and 2016 and setup the users, security and the DR, AOAG and replication. Setup the automated backups and put together a restore plan. Built the notification system to email tier one support staff when application and database errors. Built an automated process to detect and script database DDL, DML changes to use to do QA and production deployments. Work closely with the users, Directors, and business to gather and document requirements. From the business requirements I authored Software Detail Design documents and performed walk throughs with the onshore and offshore development staff. On my personnel time have completed over 100 hours of online training using Pluralsight online courses. • Sr. Database Developer/DBA LAN International (Apr 09 – Aug 13)

Designed and built stored procedures, views, tables, and message queues utilizing Service Broker in a SQL Server 2005 and 2008 environment.

Proactively analyzed slow performing stored procedures and modified them to run optimally. Performed daily SQL server database support along with recommend on archiving large tables to allow for better database performance. Created and maintained daily viewed SSRS reports. Used Red Gate tools to sync up between database structures and objects. Worked with SQL Server 2008 R2 as the lead database developer for the BestRate team. Created several SSIS packages too seamlessly import data into key production tables wrote the first SSIS packages in LAN International. Worked with key application architects to design develop database objects to support web and non-web front end applications. Introduce with SalesForce training for future application development and support and familiar the APEX language.

Architected key new functionality to support current application, the new functionality involved in the creation of tables, stored procedures and views. Currently working on a SQL Server 2005/2008 application utility this utility is written in C# and utilizing Win forms. The SQL Server utility provides expert services to help the SQL Developer to be more efficient and effective on a day to day basis. The tool offers the following features, 1. Comparer, this feature allows the developer to choose which database objects in two different databases to do a comprehensive structure comparison. 2. Searcher, feature allows the developer to do a very fast database object search. (4000 objects in two seconds) This feature returns the associated objects that meet the search criteria. 3. Generator, allows the developer to automate the standard insert, update, delete and select procedures from a list of selected tables. 4. Data Viewer give the developer the power to do very quick queries and a organize way to run and store SQL snippets. 5. Scripter allows the developer to automate selected database objects to a script file for easy deployments. The developer with Scripter can build specialized scripts for organized database deployments. 6. Exporter allows the developer to build scripts to either export or import data into many tables either located on the save server or external servers. Which puts this utility above the rest, is speed, a developer can perform the usual database task in much fewer steps to accomplish much more. Converted legacy VB6 window form applications to .NET window forms.

• Sr. Web Programmer/Sr. Database Developer Metlife Investors (Apr 02 - Feb 2009)

Apr 04 - Feb 2009

Designed and developed an application that shared some of the data from SmartApp, this application was called ACATS I. This system processed daily files from NSCC (external company) and imported the data to be processed which exported data from SQL Server to an IBM mainframe batch process. The data from the mainframe after it has been processed was imported back into the ACATS database and sent back to NSCC. I built an application used by ACATS I that queried data from a table and converted the text format to FAX format (.TIFF), these .TIFF files were sent to a FAX server and distrusted to FAX machines throughout the company.

Designed and developed an application in .NET 2.0 C# (XMLEngine 2.0) that sent out real time calls to an IBM Message Queue (IBM WebSphere® MQ). The real time calls are in a XML document, the application was a non-GUI NT Service. This application process around 6 thousand transaction a day

Worked on a team of developers who converted the current security web pages to a standard one login system utilizing SiteMinder. Was recognized by Metlife for this accomplishment.

Converted the legacy web system to the latest technology to ASP.NET, VB.NET and C#. Designed and developed new web services to allow external systems to communicate with the current applications. Lead in the redesign of the database to convert it to third normal form which helped to allow tremendous growth and scalability. Created several tools to import data from a mainframe batch process into a Microsoft SQL Server tables, this process written in C# utilizing multi-processing and processed over one hundred thousand database transactions per minute. Help convert all .ASP, .COM components to ASP .NET 3.5. Created Web Services to expose interfaces to communicate with external business partners to import and export mission critical data. Designed and managed several applications and lead our offshore teams to make sure the applications meet the software development specifications and approved delivery dates.

Handpicked by a new group (PST) Platform Services Team, this team led the way to improve several high-level applications performance and overall user experience. The applications identified by gathering system metrics and presenting to management the findings. This metrics where gathered with database trace logs, WILY log files and the daily Remedy tickets submitted.

Helped build and maintained the company wide products/funds and financial policy website. SmartApp is used by the Metlife agents and brokers (16,000 agents’ worldwide) to create edit and report on policy and fund information. SmartApp was built using the following technologies, SQL Server 2000, VB6, C++, XML, ASP, HTML, and Java Script. Duties include interviewing new development resources, planning estimating, tracking the development schedules and the development of new requirements. Have written over 40 ASP, 16 COM objects and 140+ stored procedures. Single handedly tuned and optimize the 50 gigabyte SQL Server database to scale the day to day user traffic. Rewrote a load application total written in SQL and a combination of C++, DTS packages running in a parallel process. As the resident DBA, made sure the developers would write proper stored procedures, views and overall SQL. Did the daily maintenance to the development environment databases such as backups restores builds. Created the SQL scripts for production deployments and verifications of the code that was deployed. Worked as tier one support on database issues during normal daily business hours and off hours. Constantly evaluate legacy SQL objects to see if any optimizations can be applied.

Was one of a consultants that designed and developed an advanced Point of Sale web base tool. The application was built for the largest public Storage Company in the US. Application utilized SQL Server 2000, VB6, XML, ASP, VBScript, COM+, HTML, MTS, Cyber Source, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (OLAP), Cyber Cash and JD Edwards.

• Software Development Lead PropertyFirst.com (May 99 - Aug 01)

Lead on the construction of Golden Spike for AIS. Golden Spike was a generic importing system that allowed for the mass importation of external data into the database (Sources: MDB, XML, XLS, TXT) (Technologies used: SQL 2000, VB, MTS, ASP, SOAP and XML). Lead for the development of AIS Web Reporting and Exporting system, which allowed end users via a web page to create and download reports in formats supported by the Microsoft Office without having Microsoft Office (Technologies used: MTS, ASP, VB, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, XLS, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services(OLAP) and HTML). Built the online Mapping and Demographics utilizing a third-party software development kit by MapInfo (Technologies used: APS, Jscript, VBScript, Delphi 5.0). Duties include hiring new development resources, planning estimating, tracking the development schedules and the development of new requirements.

Senior Developer Lead/Architect for PropertyFirst.com’s TDO division designed and built the bug tracking systems which lead to the forming of the QA department (Technologies used: VB, SQL Server 7.0, ASP, ActiveX). Was instrumental building the following systems: UDIS (Universal Data Import System), this system allowed for the gathering of external data worldwide and importing data into databases? Golden Spike was development utilizing the following technologies: VB, MTS, SOAP, XML, MS Access, APS, VB Script, JavaScript, SQL 7.0 - 2000, Stored ProAcedures). The help system utilized VB, APS, MTS, SQL Server 2000, HTML, and Jscript. • Software Development Lead Microsoft (Oct 96 - May 99) Congo Development Lead. Mission critical application that used series of current technologies such as Internet, Client Server, Active X and OLE Automation. Congo was designed to be Microsoft’s call tracking program: used across a multitude of Microsoft BUIT’s. The client’s portions of Congo were written VB, C++ and DHTML. The Server components of Congo were in ATL, C++ SQL Server and VB. Role: Software development team leader responsible for 12 team members. Duties included hiring new team members, planning, estimating and tracking the development schedules and developing new requirements.

• Senior Software Developer Microsoft (Oct 95 - Oct 96) Help developed Microsoft’s license tracking system called Surf. Surf utilized a three-tier-architecture using OLE Automation. The global system was for all Microsoft and OEM’s products. Surf was built using Visual Basic 4.0, VC 4.0, Access 95 and SQL Server 6.5 Role: Architecture Developer (BV4 OLE Servers), Database Developer (Stored procedures, views and tables used for the Architecture) and Deployment Developer (ACME 95).

• Senior Software Developer Microsoft (Jun 95 - Oct 95) Developer for the “Microsoft Giving Campaign 95”. Application tracked the contribution of donations by Microsoft employees. Also developed a sub-program, which sent thank you email to contributors. The application backbone was built using Visual Basic 4.0, SQL Server 6.0 and MAPI (Microsoft Mail Application Interface). Developed a report tool that used throughout Microsoft. The tool aided in finishing 43 reports well before the estimated completion date. Additionally, added a unique report batch/print system that allowed user’s to print multiple reports in MSWord and Excel.

• Senior Software Developer Microsoft (Oct 94 - Jun 95) Help develop “Patents 95”. The first ITG application built with Microsoft 92’s three-tier client server architecture. The application was designed for Microsoft’s attorneys to track and analyze patent information. The application was developed in Visual Basic and SQL Server 6.0. Program still being successfully employed today.

• Software Developer Strategic Air Command (STRATCOM), NE, USAF (Dec 90 - Oct 94)

*Designed/maintained Client Server interactive systems using ORACLE, Microsoft, Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Access. Produced and wrote graphical user interface system, the first supported by the U.S. Air Force.

*Developed a query tool, in Visual Basic and Visual, whereby users can access mission critical data across a wide area network.

*Developed in Microsoft Access, the first Windows client server program supported by U.S. STRATCOM. Senior officials used the program to instantly track highly classified programs/projects.

*Leadership role in development of the Human Resource Inventory Management System (HRIMS) program. Program allowed users to track personnel/inventory and software projects. Programmed and maintained on a VAX 4300. The highly complex software program exceeded 100 tables and 60,000 lines of ORACLE code.

*Lead programmer in a program designed to show the number of active missiles maintained worldwide by the Department of Defense. The program maintained on a Honeywell 9000 and contained 5,000 lines of COBOL Code.

• Programmer/PM Peace Air Force Base, MA, USAF (Jun 82 - Dec 90)

*Special Projects Programmer, hand selected based on programming abilities, for Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) team. Designed, implemented a unique application to monitor closure actions affecting 4,200 employees, equipment and facilities. Worked with community Officials and Joint Chiefs of Staff representatives informed of programmatic issues through weekly briefings.

*Project Manager for the design of an innovative program providing time management tracking and status of 3,800 phase down tasks. Also developed and maintained an application to track the drawdown of personnel which provided officials on crucial program in-activation. The applications are still being used today as a framework and benchmark for further base closings.
