DESCRIPTION : The main aim of studies within this project was to know the various design aspects like planning, analysis & design, to investigate how a structure is constructed with in desired properties and gained knowledge about the basic & advanced techniques of building construction as well as saw the challenges which a civil engineer has to face during construction i.e. labour problems, cost management, environmental challenges etc. MAJOR PROJECT: AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON USAGE OF EGG SHELL POWDER AND COPPER SLAG AS PARTIAL REPLACEMENT FOR CEMENT AND SAND IN CONCRETE.

DESCRIPTION : Extensive experimentation has been carried out to determine utilization of the egg shell powder (up to 16% wt. of cement ) and copper slag (up to 40% wt. of sand) as the replacement of cement and sand by making the concrete cubes of M35 grade and compressive strength and split tensile strength of those cubes were observed for 7,14, 28 days. Compressive strength and split tensile strength were increased to 42.4 N/mm 2

and 2.75N/mm

2

for M35 grade

of concrete.
