Objective :
My Experience in ongoing maintenance and overhauling of all Rotating Equipment within the Refinery's, Petrochemicals Companies, Off Shore and On Shore Equipment includes (Compressors, Pumps, Turbines, Gearboxes, Blowers and Fans etc.).
In order to successfully operate in this position I have been required to demonstrate strong troubleshooting, and problem solving skills. A requirement of this position is to develop Standardized Inspection Data Sheets, Maintenance Overhaul Documentation and the upkeep of all associated Rotating Equipment Files and Reports.
Installation, Preservation, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, start Up and Maintenance of all Rotating Equipment throughout the Refinery's, Petrochemicals Company. This involved frequent site inspections followed by close liaison between Refinery Owner, the Construction Contractor, Rotating Equipment OEM’s and the Operating and Maintenance Contractor.

Position: Rotating Equipment Maintenance Assistant Manager.
Company: Foster Wheeler Petroleum Services FWPS. In MIDDLE EAST OIL REFINERY MIDOR.
For the past 21 months, I have been employed by FWPS in the role of Assistant Rotating Equipment Manager at the (MIDOR) Refinery in Alexandria, Egypt. Working within a specialized team, I am responsible for the ongoing maintenance and overhauling of all Rotating Equipment within the Refinery. This includes: Compressors, Pumps, Turbines, Gearboxes, Blowers and Fans etc.
In order to successfully operate in this position I have been required to demonstrate strong troubleshooting, and problem solving skills. A requirement of this position is to develop Standardized Inspection Data Sheets, Maintenance Overhaul Documentation and the upkeep of all associated Rotating Equipment Files and Reports.
I am also required to liaise with, and train local employees, with the view of assessing and maintaining accepted industry competency standards of our Rotating Equipment Maintenance Team. My position involves working in a Professional Team Based Environment requiring sound interpersonal skills, a good level of integrity, with personal accountability and the capacity to operate in difficult environments.

Position: MIDOR Owner Representative - Rotating Equipment Specialist.
Company: MIDDLE EAST OIL REFINERY MIDOR.
The primary objective of this position was to protect the interests of the Refinery Owner with regards to all matters relating to, the Installation, Preservation, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of all Rotating Equipment throughout the Refinery. This involved frequent site inspections followed by close liaison between Refinery Owner, the Construction Contractor, Rotating Equipment OEM’s and the Operating and Maintenance Contractor.
The performance of the Construction Contractor had to be assessed to ensure that the work was completed in accordance with accepted Industry Standards, Procedures and Practices, and within the guidelines of the OEM’s recommendations.
9th November 1983 - 16th January 1998
Position: Maintenance Group Leader.
Company: Arabian Oil Comp, Saudi Arabia.
This position was based in Al-Khafji, Saudi Arabia. I was responsible for the overhaul, repair and maintenance of all Rotating Equipment plant wide (On Shore & Off Shore). This included: Pumps, Gas
and Air Compressors, Turbines, Motors, Gearboxes, Fans and Pipelines. I was also responsible for the overhaul of valves and the maintenance of pipelines.
As Group Leader, my duties included the scheduling of routine and unplanned overhauls of Rotating Equipment, and assessment of spare parts requirements. I was also instrumental in developing Maintenance Procedures and Work Instruction to assist my Maintenance Technicians efficiently performs their duties. It became necessary for me to develop Mechanical Maintenance Repair, Overhaul and Maintenance Documentation. This greatly assisted the implementation of a quality Maintenance Documentation System, tailored specifically for the individual requirements of our facility.
My responsibilities also included the training of Local Staff in all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance. This activity was a high priority within our Organization, and, in keeping with the Company’s policy regarding Training, and the Transfer of Technology Programmer.
2nd October 1979 - 15th July 1982
Position: Mechanical Fitter.
Company: QAPCO - Qatar Petrochemical Company Ltd.
I was “on Loan” from Cairo Petroleum Refining Company for the duration of this assignment. My duties included the repair and overhaul of all equipment plant wide, this included: all Rotating Equipment, Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Boilers, Furnaces, Extruders and Pipelines etc.
A major aspect of this assignment included troubleshooting major Process and Mechanical problems. In addition, I was heavily involved in determining machinery acceptability and condition.
These duties also encompassed Root Cause Analysis associated with a variety of machinery failures and a number of Plant Reliability issues leading to changes in Operational and Procedures.
31st August 1974 - 15April 1979
Position: Operator and Maintenance Specialist.
Company: Cairo Petroleum Refining Company.
As an Operator at this major Oil Refinery, I was responsible for the Safe Operation and Record Keeping of the Process Units. These duties included troubleshooting Plant Process, Static Plant and also Rotating Machinery problems.
During this time, I became competent in the operation of all Process Units plant wide. These Process Units included; Utilities, Hydrogen, Hydro Cracker, Crude and Vacuum, Cat Cracker. This also included a number of smaller Plants/Areas, such as Storage and Handling, Catalytic Reformer and Sour water Stripper etc.
