Duties And Responsibilities In Coating And Painting

• Inspection activities on surface preparations works, paint application in accordance to the Approved Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)

• Carrying out QA/QC activities for Industrial coating works including review project Specifications, comply with Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and adhere to the related safety requirements.

• Monitoring atmospheric conditions: humidity, temperature, dew point.

• Monitoring the surface preparation works prior to prime coat. Removing of old paint, Maintenance of painting, Post Pre Painting and Maintenance re-painting for all the above referred Tanks at stage wise as per approved inspection and Test Plant (ITP)

• Inspection of pre & post painting works such as Steel Structure, Plant Components, Pipelines,

• Masking and other related material to spraying of paint.

• Ensure that the surface to be coated shall be free from contamination like welding slag, Welding spatter, dust, oil, grease, salt, mill scale, rust and old coatings.

• Checking the WFT as per the requirement.

• Checking the Dry Film Thickness randomly for prime coat, intermediate and top coat of the Painted surface as per the project specification.

• Ensure the use of correct blasting and painting materials as per the requirements of Construction drawings and painting data sheet.

• Issue NCR for violations and submit it to the QA/QC Department.

• Perform holiday testing of underground piping to ensure that all coating defects are repaired prior to backfilling.

• Inspection of all completed painting job.

• Ensuring about shelf life, induction period, pot life.

• Day to Day supervision of ongoing coating / painting activities at construction site and see to it that the work is in accordance with standards and specifications.

• Request and conduct the inspection of ongoing completed coating / painting activities as per Saudi Aramco test and inspection plan (SATIP).

• Checking surface preparation, coating quality, holiday, WFT, DFT, weather condition and final Inspection.

• Following specific duties such as recording weather conditions, substrate temperature using Whirling hygrometer, dew point, RH%, slide calculator and limpet gauge.

• Perform in-process and final inspection of coating activities that includes verification of blasting materials to be used. Inspection and testing of coating materials to be used and its calibrations, visual inspection and verify surface preparations and surface profile prior to coating and painting activities.

• Conduct visual inspection on coated / painted surface and verify the DFT / WFT film thickness, Pressure record and completed records.

• Conduct final inspection of all coated / painted materials before delivery and installation at Site.

Duties And Responsibilities In Welding

• Reviewing applicable Project Drawings, Specifications and other related documents. Inspection of piping materials, fit-up, preheat, Inter-pass temperature, post weld inspection, Standard’s, specifications & WPS.

• Maintaining the calibration records of welding machine, ovens, quivers and tools.

• Review of welding procedures, qualification records and welding operator’s certificate.

• Attended to punch listed items and monitoring the completion of punch listed activities.

• Decide required NDT methods for all welds as per specifications, ITP and NDT plan and Review of Radiographic Test Reports / Witness MPT, LPT & UT as per the NDT plan.

• Monitoring and maintaining welder’s status, Log book and performance report and Offering the NDT for completion of weld joints.

• Carried out dimensional inspections on all the finished products like pipe and fittings etc.

• Preparation of QA/QC documents and testing packages, Involved in review and Implementation of QC procedures and method statement for job execution.

• Co-ordinating with Clients and third-Party Inspectors for inspection requirements of the Project and Handling various welding responsibilities.

• Conduct inspection of incoming welding consumables and offering for inspection to client.

• Carry out fabrication inspection ensuring the geometry of assemblies is in accordance with the approved construction drawings and Quality plan.

• Spot verification inspection of materials employed is in compliance with approved Construction drawings, applicable standard codes and specifications prior and during Assembly, before and after welding ensuring the workman ship meets the quality requirements.

• Carry out final inspection in every units / item, recording of all actual dimensions and prepare As-built drawing to be attached in final report.

• Monitoring the welder’s performance, repair percentage & controlling.

• Identifying the root causes of the welding related problems and taking the corrective and Preventive actions.

• To carry out Hydro and Pneumatic tests as per the requirement. Mechanical Activities

• Witnessing and monitoring of all site static / rotating equipment and skid mounted vessels / machinery inspections including structural steel erection

• Perform functional tests and mechanical completion checks (Pressure and atmospheric vessel).

• Issues the relevant Quality Records and when necessary, writes and sends to QC supervisor non-conformance reports.

• Controls equipment installation, alignment and levelling.

• Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment’s and construction / installation activities on site.
