DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

●Prepare the unit and admission of the patient to Emergency Room/ER Evaluation and recording of patient's conditions.

●Work in different areas of the Emergency Department such as Triage, Resuscitation, Step down, critical and observation area, minor Procedure Room and medical Area and in the Clinical decision unit.

●Assist in various procedures like Intubation, Chest Tube Insertion, and Internal Jugular and Foley's Catheter Insertion etc.

●Provide bedside nursing care.

●Prepare the patient for various investigations like X-ray, ECG, Ultrasound, and MRI etc.

●Monitor vital signs and report to the physician.

●Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician.

●Collection of samples, evaluate and record the results.

●Provide psychological support to the patient and relatives.

●Maintain barrier nursing techniques and prevent cross infection.

●Follow medical and surgical asepsis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

●Assessing the condition of postoperative CABG patients.

●Providing an immediate course of post-op care.

●Applying dressing wounds, administering pain relief, oxygen, drips and fluids and drainage monitoring.

●Using highly technical equipment, including ventilators to assist breathing and defibrillators to treat heart failure, in order to resuscitate and stabilize patients;

●Carrying out certain surgical procedures when necessary, such as intubation (insertion of a breathing tube) in MICU.

●Monitoring the patient's condition closely.

●Assessing whether and how to move patients and, where appropriate, the best location to transport them to nearest health Care facilities.
