Career Objectives:

This is a multi-specialty referral hospital with 12 beds in NICU and 4 in PICU. Our NICU had 3 ventilators. This is where I got first hand knowledge and experience of taking care of sick neonates and children.
3. DNB Pediatrics
Rainbow Children's Hospital and Perinatal Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana, India

This is a tertiary care exclusive pediatric super-specialty hospital with a capacity of 250 beds and a 40-bedded state of art tertiary level NICU and 20-bedded PICU. During my 10-month stint in the PICU and 4-months in the NICU I had ample exposure to different and rare pathologies, patients and procedures. I also gained valuable experience of working in general specialty departments like Neurology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematoncology and Pulmonology, as well as handling patients with surgical pathology (preoperative preparation and postoperative care). I have actively participated in clinical case presentations, journal clubs, grand rounds, symposia and various inter and intra-departmental academic activities.
I have completed two years of DNB residency with thesis work. I have appeared but not passed DNB exam.
4. Fellowship in Neonatology (Indian Academy of Pediatrics, IAP)
PVS Hospital Kochi, Kerala, India
(February 2011 to July 2012)
This is a 250 bedded tertiary level referral hospital with 30 beds in tertiary level NICU and 7 bedded PICU. Our NICU is well equipped with 6 ventilators, a high frequency oscillator, bubble CPAP, radiant warmers, phototherapy units, state-of-the-art infusion pumps, pulse oximeters and blood gas monitors. I was responsible to handle all the neonatal cases, taking active decisions in terms of diagnosis, management and counseling of parents. I am well versed with all procedures in NICU/PICU including ventilator and high frequency oscillator use. I used to take active part in clinical seminars, case presentations, continuing medical education programmes and other academic activities in the hospital.
