SUMMATION OF EMPLOYMENT
Worked in a hospital accounting department where I established specific guidelines to recover lost revenues from Insurance Co. .
Occasionally helped with delinquent accounts.
Nursed in a psychiatric facility dealing with the criminally insane.
Participated in team reviews of each patient's behavior attempting to establish a diagnosis and thus treatment approach.
Worked rotating 12 hr. Shifts including weekends and holidays.
Was s float nurse between multiple departments, such as
O.R. Receiving, recovery room, orthopedics, general medicine and nephrology/urology units.
Eventually settled into a full-time beside nursing position on the nephrology/urology area.
At some point I transitioned to becoming the unit clerk of the Nephrology/Urology ward. In this position I became the direct liaison between the doctors and auxiliary staff. Was responsible for transcribing and thus initiating the doctors' orders. Through the day I also coordinated the flow of patients being admitted/ discharged and their comings and goings to tests. Always monitored the results of these tests with ultimately notifying the doctors.
During this time, I was granted a request for a nine-month work re-assignment to a paperless department. My purpose of this off shoot was to amp up my computer skills.
Travelled to South Korea where I taught English to native Koreans.
I would start my day teaching pre-schoolers, teenagers and then adults.
My private lessons outside of my school hours entailed teaching professionals such as doctors, professors and C.E.O.s of large companies.
Established a program and curriculum for a 6 week university crash course geared towards Korean teachers. My course was based on multiple methods of teaching English to children. I have proctored exams.
