• Isolation of bacteria from the soil on PDA, AI, LB and 10% TSA. Bacteria isolated that displayed antimicrobial properties were tested against ESKAPE pathogens (E. coli and B. cereus) and gram-stained.

• Biochemical tests - Kligler, Simmons, Starch Agar Oxidase, Catalase and Oxidation-Fermentation tests.

• DNA sequence of 16srRNA was analysed using BLAST to determine the species.
