BRIEF PROFILE

Paul E. Abogonye is a highly resourceful and remarkable professional. An experienced Mechanical Engineer with over 8 years of top flight post-graduation experience in engineering practice, he began his career as a maintenance Supervisor in Rimco Mining Company Nig. Ltd. Daudu Makurdi in Benue State where he planned and supervised the execution of maintenance programmes for the company’s heavy duty equipments. This was in addition to other engineering roles such as installation, maintenance of utilities and facility maintenance.

In 2014, he joined the Industrial Training Fund as a Training Development Officer. There he has been charged with developing training solutions to meet identified needs in the industrial and commercial sectors of the economy. As an accomplished Learning and Development Consultant, he has `attended organised and facilitated series of training workshops and courses across the states with participants drawn from senior management, middle level management, supervisory/occupational and junior cadres of both public and private sector organizations. He has implemented several skill acquisition programmes, skills upgrade programmes, apprenticeship standardization schemes, modular training programmes to mention but a few. His areas of interest in training include hard and soft skills acquisition, development of managerial competencies, individual and corporate performance enhancement and productivity improvement. Others include training needs analysis, skills gap identification and general training consultancy.

Abogonye holds a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from University of Agriculture, Makurdi. He also holds a Diploma in Christian Religious knowledge from Dunamis School of Ministry, Abuja.

Abogonye is a people developer with a passion for mentoring and empowering budding talents especially amongst the youth and young adults. He is married to Esther Olodu and they are both blessed with three children.
