Aug ’18 – Nov ’18 Project Intern at Penrith Space Observatory, Western Sydney University, Sydney Created a prototype for remote operation and automated control of the telescope instrument carousel. Worked on integration of system with the existing control system. Oversaw the start-up and shut-down procedures at the observatory that resulted in refinement of procedures. Supported the Technical Director with his thesis on the telescope control system. PMSM Drive Optimisation Using MTPA and FWC Algorithms, Bachelor Thesis Optimised the drive operation of the electric vehicle powertrain, by implementing FWC on the developed plant model by referencing lookup tables created using MTPA algorithm over the acquired vehicle test data. Developed mathematical models for performing Model-In-Loop (MIL) simulations of the drive. Design and Fabrication of All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), as a part of a Team representing the University Oversaw the design and fabricated ATVs as a team and progressively matched global performing standards with every vehicle. Specialized in Vehicle Dynamics and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS). Automation of the Telescope Instrument Carousel, Penrith Space Observatory Developed a motorised cross-belt driven system for the telescope instrument carousel that enabled remote operation and eliminated the requirement for manual supervision. Electric Wheelchair
Designed a cost-effective way for driving a wheelchair using motors and remote inputs from a joystick and the Arduino Uno board. Fabricated the mechanical linkages to the wheelchair for assembling the driver assembly.
