I completed 17 years of service milestone for the Oil and Gas Industry; first with Halliburton Energy Services from 2002 to 2012 in Mexico then to October 2017 in an international assignment as cross border commuter M/LWD Field Engineer Senior for Venezuela; secondly for Schlumberger Co. in Midland, TX, USA from August 2018 to April 2020; as MWD Specialist in the Permian Basin for the high volume drilling market.

Work Experience

17 years working as Measurement While Drilling / Logging While Drilling (MWD/LWD) field engineer for the Oil and Gas industry, directly involved in the upstream process.

5 years working as freelance translator providing legal and technical documentation translation services for international maritime companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico.

5 years working as Informatics instructor for a local private academy in Ciudad del Carmen, teaching Microsoft Office software besides miscellaneous Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows and Linux.

My MWD/LWD Career Overview

The MWD/LWD field engineer must possess a wide array of technical and physical skills, be resilient and resourceful to overcome emerging day to day challenges in stressful mission critical and adverse environments to remain in control of the drilling operation, optimize resources, enable and troubleshoot communications, remote operations and support the decision making for the clients.

Experience is summarized as follows:

•5 years working as MWD/LWD field engineer in Mexico’s oilfields (Offshore & Inland);

•5 years coordinating MWD/LWD services and personnel for offshore operations, oversighting service quality and HSE standards;

•5 years working in Venezuela (Inland) as field engineer Senior leading operations with MWD/LWD tools such as Gamma Rays, Induction Resistivity, Azimuthal and Nuclear Sensors, Pressure and Rotary Steerable Systems.

•Almost 2 years as MWD Specialist for D&M – North America Land, Schlumberger in the Midland Permian Basin, Texas, USA working with High Volume (high demand) drilling tools and services.
