Position: Aircraft Parts and Equipment Specialist

I assembled and disassembled jet engine parts with limited supervision. I performed engine Quick Engine Change (QEC) disassembly, inspection, and nal assembly tasks as required using proper technical orders for mission accomplishment. I performed nondestructive testing, inspection and repair aircraft components using tools such as rivets guns, stresses, drill presses, pneumatic tools, and hoists. I utilized Federal Air Regulations mechanic privileges. I followed maintenance manuals and technical data pertaining to troubleshooting and evaluating F-100-PW-220/229 and F-119 engines, including reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints and drawings to determine serviceability. I ensured proper techniques were used when handling and disposing of hazardous waste. I performed all aspects of corrosion control as well as foreign object control (FOD) in and around work areas. I trained new employees on aircraft components and work safety including accident prevention, FOD prevention, hangar safety, and re protection and procedures. Additional duties: I performed troubleshooting along with the extent of repair for major aircraft systems such as landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic and ight control systems. I determined when systems and components were operating properly, whether components or parts needed repair or replacement, and the specic adjustment or alignment required. I disassembled, repaired, and reassembled major aircraft systems, their components and assemblies. I installed, aligned, and conducted functional and operational tests using such tools as wrenches, torque wrenches, speed wrenches, pneumatic wrenches, and ratchet wrenches. I also used precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges. I accomplished maintenance and operational record keeping, both automated and manual, which were performed on appropriate forms denitive sheets, AFTO form 781 series, and Core Automated Maintenance Systems (CAMS) computer terminals as appropriate.
