PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

SUPPLY AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT/STOCK CONTROL:

U.S. Marine Corps; Freight Receiving Warehouse & Distribution; Bldg 1119; Camp Lejeune, NC 28542; Nov 2015 – Oct 2020

Duty Title: Supply Inventory Specialist

Directly responsible for investigating, adjusting, resolving, and reporting non-reconciled balances of ground/aviation supply items in the warehouse.

Meticulously maintained all records of supply transactions to include: inventory/stock control, low reorder points, stock replenishments, equipment /gear custody receipts, individual memorandum records, proof of delivery documents, as well as receipt and distribution of warehouse stock valued in excess of $2.5 million.

Handled the packing, shipping, and/or transporting of ground supply components and equipment during deployments with 100% accountability and timeliness.

Requisitioned, received, and issued over 70,000 pieces of supplies and equipment resulting in efficient logistical support for the military units with superb results.

Conducted inquiries to obtain the current status on supply requisitions; investigated and resolved problems relating to the causes of supply delays and errors.

Accurately determined minimum and maximum stock levels for an abundant amount of line items worth millions of dollars; conducted on-going reviews and updates of stock level figures; considered the fluctuations in seasons and the expected and actual usage figures.

SUPPLY AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT/STOCK CONTROL-Continued:

Verify that all items are identified with a stock number prior to stocking in the warehouse.

Planned layout of stockroom, stand-up of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors pertaining to items stored; maintained physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Issue supplies to customers by accurately preparing a requisition and issue form.

Manage the database through computer exception reports and determine, from a list of transactions, the correct data entries in the supply records management system.

Appropriately disposed of $2M worth of outdated, defective or excessive equipment/gear through the DRMO system in a short timeframe.

Coordinated and supervised the redistribution of nearly $3M worth of equipment to other military commands cutting our unit’s equipment surplus by 20 percent and saving the government a significant amount of critical dollars.

Complies with Federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
