Client: SBI (Disaster Recovery Unit), Hyderabad. ` From: Jan 2020 – Till Date

Project Description:

Provide 24x7 onshore server supports for State Bank of India Disaster recovery Center at Hyderabad.

The infrastructure comprises of 1 Primary Data Center (PDC), in Mumbai, and the corresponding Disaster Recovery (DR) sites at Hyderabad.

Total number of server's are 150 with the model of BL860c, rx8640 and rx2800. The entire systems architecture comprises of HP-UX servers in a MC Service Guard cluster configuration, along with UNIX servers under HP-UX 11i OS.

The entire architecture is served by an EVA 8000 & P6500 SAN arrays implemented within Disaster Tolerant architecture, and supported by the HP Data Protector A.10.10 Enterprise Backup Solution.

Servers are monitored using the HP – Open View Operations (OVO) suite, with HP – Service Manager solution providing Help Desk Operations functionality

The DR site at Hyderabad uses Oracle Log shipping for Finacle Core data replication

Roles & Responsibilities:

Linux Skills:

Installation and maintenance of Linux Server.

OS Installation via Kick start, FTP and NFS.

Linux Boot Process.

LDAP user configuration.

Managing Users and Groups.

Assigning File and Directory permission.

Configure Crontab for scheduling tasks.

Patches install and update through Yum repository Server

Setting up LVM for dynamic extending & reducing partition size when we need

Configure and manage FTP, NFS and Samba Servers

Configure the mail Server using Send mail

Implementing and maintaining Apache Web Server

Taking Backup and Restore using tar and Dump restore

File compression using zip, gzip and bzip2.

Managing and configuring ipv4 and ipv6 Networking.

Managing priority of Linux process
