Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency (MWVCAA), Salem, OR Jun 2019 – Aug 2019 MWVCAA is a non-profit organization that helps the communities around it. The assistance varies and includes teen challenge programs, rental assistance, homeless day centers, run-away teen night shelters, and a safety net for those who might be going bankrupt or homeless. IT Assistant and on-the-side Developer

As the IT Assistant my tasks varied, but included communication with the product owner to digest and dissect their issue while figuring out the quickest and most essential method to solve a given problem; laptop, notebook, desktop computer and occasional phone repair; visiting many of the support centers and setting up internet access by wiring data cables, setting up routers, and limiting poor connections; expanding the security of sites, by setting up multiple Ring devices and programming them to act according to the users’ needs.

As the on-the-side Developer, I was given a big project and data to work with. I developed a student credit calculator which helped student teachers and admins accurately and easily give their students a rundown of their progress. This progress showed whether or not they were on their way to graduate; and it followed a robust structure with many requirements. In addition, I built a database schema for a branch which established a solid ground for future database implementation and renovation (my 4th letter of recommendation holds a testimony of this application). Accomplishments:

Developed a program worth nearly $5,000 for MWVCAA – ref. (letter of recommendation four)

Learned a new programming language on the job (Power Apps) in less than 2 weeks

Orchestrated and planned multiple two-hour meetings with 5 associates

Received nothing but positive feedback after completing my project EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

Full Stack Developing, Database Design & SQL Sep 2019 – Jun 2020 Before our graduation from Western Oregon University (WOU), we were given a two-term project that placed us in a simulated real-world environment of Full-Stack development. We had to document our feature additions through “user stories,” speaking to a stakeholders about product/feature launches, take on challenges that push us out of our comfort zones, create professional documentation of our mission goal and statement, deliver a workable product after every “sprint,” and complete a certain amount of work before every “audit” meeting.

Accomplishments & Notable Training:

Developed a fully functional website, Beyond The Tutor, for Western Oregon University’s tutoring center in Visual Studio using ASP.NET MVC 5, SQL Server, JavaScript, C#, Azure and Semantic UI

Developed a site that mimics a Github profile using the Github API, Ajax and jQuery

Implemented agile methodologies like sprint planning, standup-meetings, code documentation, effort estimation (via Pivotal Tracker) and some integration/unit testing throughout the whole project

Practiced database design fundamentals in MySql, MariaDB and SQL Server for 2 years

Experimented with parallel processing and Blockchain technology by building a Blockchain sim EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

Studied the essential computer science data structures and algorithms using C++

Practiced database design in-and-out for a year at CCC and Assembly for a term EDUCATION
