Recently retired and in a second career devoted almost entirely to tennis. Combining my professional training and skills with special interest activities, such as sports, sporting events, etc. I enjoy working with people, young people in particular and I am especially interested in continuing coaching.

College: M.A.T.C. graduate in May 2000 with an Associate degree in Supervisory Management and complete the Wisconsin Police Academy. Dean’s List in 1999. Some Fire Science training.

Certifications: Wisconsin Certified Law Enforcement Officer, Fire Fighter I, CPR w/AED module.

Other Education: Various seminars, earning certificates and continuing education credits in communications, leadership, police science, computer applications and general business administration.

PRESENT POSITION

2008 - Present HIGH SCHOOL BOYS TENNIS COACH. McFarland High School.

Provide leadership and skills development through coaching and team building.

Winter 2007-2018 Waunakee Village Center. Waunakee.

Assist fitness classes and individual users of the exercise and recreation facilities in various instructional and miscellaneous guest services areas.

Summer/Fall TENNIS INSTRUCTOR. Madison School Community Recreation (MSCR).

Seasonal – substitute tennis instructor. As needed, provide formal instruction on techniques and strategies of tennis to students of all ages (kids to adults) and all levels of ability. FLAG FOOTBALL REFEREE, MSCR. Co-ed Middle School Program.

PAST EMPLOYMENT

2002 – July 22, 2007 POLICE OFFICER/DIGNITARY PROTECTION UNIT. State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration. Responsible for providing protective services to the Governor, his family and visiting dignitary. Retired on July 22, 2007.

2001 – 2002 POLICE OFFICER/PATROL UNIT (Limited Term). State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration. Responsible for the detection and preliminary investigation of crimes, traffic accidents, traffic violations and the protection of lives and property on State managed properties.

1977 – 2002 PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. City of Madison, Police Department.

Code enforcement, public relations, communication, education, conflict resolution and records maintenance. Also served as a trainer to new staff and an EAP coordinator.

1975 – 1977 LIFEGUARD. City of Madison, Parks Department. Beach maintenance, concessions manager, youth recreational activities, crowd control and public relations.

1973 – 1974 Part-time (student employment). Various experience in retail, food services, manufacturing and maintenance.
