DUTIES &

RESPONSIBILITY

WELDING

• Coordinating all Inspection(s) with the Sub-Contractor and client at site.

• Material inspection with codes, standard, specifications and client’s vendor list.

• Planning & Execution of Welder Performance test in accordance with client approved WPS.

• Proposing WPS based on the scope and requirements of the project.

• Planning & Execution of PQR in accordance with client requirements.

• Monitoring of welder performance, welding repair rates and advice corrective actions as required.

• Preparation of ITP, QCP and Material approval request.

• Welding Process: SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW welding.

• Audit the storage, temperature & handling of welding consumables as per procedure.

• Ensure electrode backing, storage and issuance in accordance with quality Procedure.

• Preparing the weld inspection & material traceability certificate & update the same.

• Inspecting the weld fit-up joints prior to root pass & visual inspection of final weld,

• To check filed weld & Consumables comply with project requirements.

• Various NDT tests witnessing like – PT, UT, RT and MT on finished welds.

• Carried out visual inspection and NDT-Interpretation on completed welds.

• Preparation of weld map.

• Calibration certificates of instruments, and welding machines which are used.

• Preparation and updating of master punch list.

• Preparation of final handover documentation.

• Prepare detailed records and reports for all Inspection(s) conducted at site, and maintain the Quality Control System/Documentation.

• Establish and conduct regular Quality Control meeting with the Sub-contractor and Clients.

• Prepare and issue the Field Inspection Notice to the Client and co-ordination.

• Establish QA/QC system as per the contract and standards for welding of structural, Equipment, Tanks etc including required Destructive/Nondestructive tests wherever required.

• Coordinating internally to ensure correct communication exist and maintained between Client and Sub agencies.

• Responsible for all Inspections at site, including witnessing, recording and reporting the results and resolving problems arising.

• Maintaining and implementing ISO Standards and project specifications. CLIENTS
